The night was still young. We were happily chatting with each other.
"So how is the business going Jill?" Teena asked.
"Well we are still struggling. But at least we are making huge progress. After the downfall, it was so hard to get back up again. It's thanks to Shawn that the company didn't go all the way down." I said.
"I just pulled a few strings, that's all." Shawn said, being humble. "Of course I can't just watch while your company is being threatened to fall. I know I have to do something."
"I know Shawn. Thanks for always having my back." I said and smiled at him.
"Anytime Jill." Shawn took a sip from his beer.
"Oh yeah Shawn, have you filed for your candidacy yet?" Gerald asked.
"Candidacy?" I asked curiously.
"Yes. Didn't Shawn tell you? Your father was successful in talking him into politics. He is running for mayor of N city" Gerald said.
