With the coming storm, it has encased us deep within it's turbulent heart. Resting amidst the fury of the wind, rising gales howl, followed by the waves reaching the skies. Amidst this chaos the soldiers, the gallant guardians of this Kingdom stand against the untold horrors that are emerging from the depths. With determination they face the unknown.
Locked in battle between a battle of 2 against 1, Both Gangyi and Hwang-So have been working together despite not understanding each other. As Hwang-So repel its limbs away, Gangyi would swoop in delivering heavy blows, slicing it to pieces but it simply refuses to die and put itself back together.
"Don't underestimate me Human! I have killed thousands of your overconfident kind!"
"Kaka! But you haven't face anyone like me!"
Gangyi also tries to grab the monster and perform the same trick she did to that fish monster. Knowing what Gangyi is trying to acomplish, Hwang-So lets multiple limbs hit his arm, his left arm turns white but he still moves them and grab all its limb under his poisoned arm and stake it all down with his spear. Seeing this golden opportunity, Gangyi doesn't miss her chance and boost forward!
"Rooaaar!"
*Snap* *Snap* *Snap* *Snap*
Despite such dire outcome, the starfish denied her any chance. In desperation, it split half of its body by ripping it with his limbs and letting Gangyi take it away as it then strikes back with its regworn limbs. Hwang-So abandons his spear and shield Gangyi with his body, and begins to stagger as his torso turns white.
"I eat your kind for breakfast! I'm not taking any chances, foolish Human!"
Despite such critical blow, Hwang-So grabs those likbs again with sheer willpower. Gritting his teeth and stand up with shaking knees shouting:
"You yap too much, beast! Don't you dare keep speaking the speech of man! Simply perish and be remembered as the vanquished!"
Hwang-So angrily answer back in the common tongue. Gangyi, realizing that soon turn around, dropping the useless limb shouting:
"I'm glad someone has the common sense to learn the common tongue! Also, I'll be taking that comback line!"
"I'm happy you think so highly of my words, Lord from Heaven. Forgive my weaknedd but what's the plan? I can't hold much longer!"
"Kaka! Just keep pinning it down. I'm going to try something, if one big attack is not enough than thousand of big strikes will."
"We obey!"
(Hwang-So can speak the common tongue? I guess that would make sense since he's working Internationally defending this port for decades).
Gangyi then tries to attack it with wind magic by summoning a massive vortex by circling the monster as to uproot it. Hwang-So follows suit by cutting any limbs that tries to stop her with his bare hands. Gangyi's attack soon prove to be effective as the limbs Hwang-So holds gets cut and any limbs that regrows back gets severed immediately. As Hwang-So gets blown out of the vortex, soldiers run to grab him and pull him back.
Gangyi continues her onslaught, seeing how much it keeps getting beaten down, it must've felt out of options when its whole body start to turn white. Red lines akin to veins surface across its body and from those marks,
"Nuoooh!"
*Boom*
More limbs burst out to stop her and double its limbs. Adamantly planting its feet to the ground it refusing to give up. Yet even with those extra limbs, it still can't stand against Gangyi's vortex that grews with each cycle she makes. Even with all the cuts and severed limbs, I can feel the anger and desperation of the monster as it battles her. Seeing her slowly winning, I wonder,
(That monster just keeps regenerating! It must've a limit right?)
"Sova!"
Hearing a familiar voice I turn around to see Seyong rushing to my side. He rush ahead the Hunters and slide on his knees to be on the same level asking:
"What happened to you!? You look worse than a corpse!"
"Urgh! Well, I got careless. But not as bad as Elder Hwang-So."
"No shit! Haah... Everyone knows Elder Hwang-So's a tough ship to sink so he'll be fine. But you, you're suppose to be the commander in charge here! What do you think will happen when everyone see you like this? Fool!"
Seyong berrates with harsh words and virtrial yet his movement contradicts that as he pulls out a medkit and slowly patch my ears with bandages and place cold ice on my face.
"I'm sorry, and thank you."
I apologize again as I remember my role and felt ashame of my actions. Just like before, and everytime I've been given a chance I always keep failing the first time. I bow my head and-
"Nah, stop it. I don't wanna hear an apology, just get yourself better you fool. Now give me that coms device."
Seyong grabs my head and stops me from lowering it. He looks back at the Hunters and Adventurers who is already dispering around, spreading their help across the canyon. Seyong then starts pressing a button shouting:
"All Active Hunters and Adventurers, those with medical and engineering skills will assist the rear while those with combat oriented experience will fight and push back the monsters!

A loud response echo from the coms but it ends up with some static as Seyong then throw it back at me saying:
"This damn storm's interfering with the signal. Tch, with how early they came we couldn't even set up any traps or killzone. But luckily the soldiers here already bogged them down so let's finish this!"
*Smash* *Bzzz*
"With such a storm the conductivity and chain should be phenomenal."
Seyong pumps himself by smashing both his fist together and produce some lightning. But before he left, I realize this is the few time we talk where he didn't end up running away or passed out, so I grab ahold of his coat shouting:
"P-Please wait!"
"H-Huh? Did you call? Is something else hurting? I'm sure the I followed the manuals from one clam to the pearl."
Knowing how our conversation keeps going, I can't help but feel like more miscommunication might arise and try to adress it now. I tug at him trying to pull him closer saying:
"Seyong, let's make this clear. I really wish to stop any misunderstanding or any situation where you would run away screaming like a child. And just to make sure, I don't swing that way."
Seyong's face seem to reddened even behind his mask as he tries to brush away my hand shouting:
"W-Wha? Shut it! Is this what you said to someone who just treated-"
"No! You're wrong! Please listen."
I tighten my grip and look up pleading:
"Since this is important, won't you please tell me why you keep running away when talking to me? Do you really hate me that much because of that misunderstanding?"
Seyong shakes his head, dropping his shoulder replying:
"Haah, the fact that you didn't realize itself yourself is already a problem. You know what..."
Seyong takes off his mask and puts it on me as I'm surprised by his sudden gesture and holds my new accessory asking:
"Huh? Why?"
"Fool, your face is the problem for me! Now, I feel at peace. Maybe in the future, I don't need you to paperbag it, but for now, just make sure you wear it!"
I hold the mask Seyong gave me and realize how the mask gives me a full view as if I'm wearing none at all if not for the feeling.
"This... Seem suffocating but, if it's for you... I'll do it! As long as we can speak without any problems."
Seyong finally brush my hand aside and point at me shouting:
"See! You definitely made a weird face at that line! Tch! Anyways, I better get going, I need to show that bird after she left us nothing to do nothing at the port. Charge!"
Seyong summons multiple lightning and starts floating and flying over any monster ignoring them. And then,
"Heh, I guess it's time to show the Star Child what we Hunters are made off."
"Rest, we might even finish this before you recover."
"Don't get overconfident! Did you already forget what happened when we fought her?"
A familiar Hunter group follows after Seyong passing me with confidence. Hye-Eun readies her bow with insects at the tip, Hye-Bin pulls a large shield with tubes, Chu-Son sharpens his swords follows after Ei who seem to be hesitant saying:
"Uuuh... I think I'm just gonna stay back watching over star child. Besides, since I'm a range- nyaaa!"
"Get over here!"
Hye-Bin drags Ei by the tail and carry her like a sack as they rush forward, Hye-Eun fires multiple arrows at once and each hsot always hit their targets no matter where and immediately become paralyzed, that's where Chu-Son unleashes his flurry of blows dicing any monsters in his striking range. When more monster shows to attack, Hye-Bin charges at them unleashing smoke from his shield which make the monster turn their attention and stuns them in place while Ei who's crying a lot jumps over their stunned head with hooked daggers and start attaching something before,
*Ping* *Zrrrr*
She fires the end of all those hooks at an empty space and drag all those monster into one pile. Hye-Eun seeing such opportunity and doesn't hesitate to throw a box and,
*Booom*
Their teamwork proves effective as they systematically slaughter any group of monster coming their way, following behind Seyong. Seyong on the other hand, already reached the barricade and finally starts zapping the monsters that's climbing the canyon and burning them to dust. With a simple gesture, those lightning then starts connecting to other monsters and avoiding any humans in its way as he forms massive net.
"{Chain Lightning Strike!}"
Seyong shouts as light forms from the clouds and smite countless monsters inside the net of lightning he creates, his strike scorched the beast to an unrecognizable shadow in the ground, wiping most of the monster at the canyon while sriving back many of the monster climbing the slope.
" "Woaaah!" "
The soldiers seeing such a feat and thinning of monsters cheer upon Seyong's display of strength and start fighting back with more fervour. Tredging through the noew muddy floor filled with blood and guts, a heavy torrent pours down upon the canyons causing the river flowing between it to rise just below the bridges. Slowly but surely, we're definitely winning.
*Thump*
"Urgh!"
I felt my heart pump for a moment again as I felt a lingering sensation. A call from the deep slowly arriving. Yet even so, I try to close my eyes and attain peace amidst this chaos. I always had a feeling, small kindle dances at the darkness, circling each other as I dream.
"My own techniques..."
I summon forth my halberd and grasp it tightly watching them do their best as soon I should be able to fight again.
