Chapter 1 - Chapter 1

Chapter 1

I was walking in the shopping centre with, my mother and father. We were doing the weekly shop, and we don't have much money so, we could only afford our food, and our rent.

I was not getting off from my mother and father that easily, from the day I turned 11, I started to work in a factory, it is miserable, but I have no choice but to work there, and so, I still work there to this day.

As we continued to walk through the shopping centre, I looked around to see other families, they all looked so happy. The colour of my face started to drain, I continued to look around, parents and, children look at me scared, I hate it!

I then, hear my family screaming out my name, I must have spaced out when I saw the other families staring at me, the poor children are scared for their lives.

Once I zoned back in for the second time, I realized that I was staring at a bright light that was directly on top of me. The, it seems like I have lost control over my body, and my left arm moves up to the light. Then, the light flickers. I instantly pull my arm back and tucked it into my chest. With my eyes wide and, my whole body shaking, I look down in same, I was embarrassed for some reason, I know I shouldn't be, but whenever I do even the slightest thing wrong, I feel like the whole world is crumbling from under her feet, but this time the feeling was worse than a small amount of embarrassment. Everyone is looking at me, am I scared? Yes, but other than that I have no clue what else I was feeling. Was it anger? No. Was it sadness? No. Was it pain? No, none of those emotions.

As she continued to zone out more, and more, her left arm started to move up again, she had no control over this. Her arm continued to move upwards, she was still zoning out when, with one massive flash, all the lights in the shopping centre went out hundreds of people were in a pitch-black darkness, it didn't help that it was a Wednesday night in winter at 6 pm.

She then fell to the floor, her head hitting the ground with a loud and sudden impact, but she didn't make a sound like she was unconscious, but her eyes were wide open, and her face was expressionless. Everyone was recording her on their iPhones, and their Samsungs, but no one cared enough to go and see if she was okay. Not even her family cared enough to go and see if she was okay.

Meanwhile, the young girl that was a mute was still zoned out, she didn't even know that she had fallen down. She was stuck in thought thinking about what happened with the light flickering, and what would happen if she could just find the thing inside of her that will speak if she could talk in front of people. Her anxiety is so high that everyone, even the doctors, thought that she was just born that way. In school, I get bullied every day, but I just laugh at them. I don't care about them at this point, but I know it's not normal, but every time I "tell" someone, they just say: stand up to them. Every time someone tells me that, it just makes me really angry, and really sad. I just wish that someone would listen to me…

An hour has passed by, and she was already in a hospital and, in a bed. The doctors had never seen a case like this before, it was similar to a patient that is in shock, but she was moving, and at the same time she was unresponsive. There was always a doctor in the room, just in case, the young teenage girl woke up.

Then, for the first time since she had entered this "state" she blinked. The doctor that was in the room at the time saw this and pressed on the "call nurse" button on the wall, which was also next to the young girl's bed. Within a minute 5 nurse's came in and another 3 doctors came into the room.

They call came bursting through the door, all at once, panicked, and unsure if the young girl was safe. The young girl's family didn't even come in the ambulance truck, and she also has never been to a hospital or even a doctor's office. This was very unusual for a 16-year-old girl. All of the staff all waited eagerly awaited for the young girl to wake up, they were excited for the best but were preparing for the worst.

Little did all of the people that were surrounding her knew, but she was stiill zoned out, and didn't what the hell was going on. The young girl was thinking over her life, and the afternoon of that day. Does she secret powers? She didn't know once again, but she wanted to find the answers, and find the answers to ALL of her questions. So, when her journey begins she will find out all of the answers to every question that she could even think off, and all she had to do was get out of that hospital and get to her home by midnight.

So, she continued to zone out until she had to take action...
