The girl lightly hummed to the song playing, "I wouldn't mind" by He Is We. It was a rainy day, a nice foggy one at that. She had just gotten home from school(Half day), dropped her backpack off in her room, and ran out of the house to the edge of the woods.
She closed her eyes and grinned, knowing she had no need to worry about getting lost, for she knew the woods like the half of her hand. It had been a typical day, but she felt overly emotional, and she had no clue as to why. All she knew is that she needed some HER time. And she knew exactly where.
She opened her eyes and they landed on her special spot. Well, THEIR spot. Her old best friend and her. They used to spend every chance they got out here, until he disappeared. It was out of the blue, too. It not only scared and worried her, but it also made her super depressed.
She sighed, and plopped down on the ground, looking up at the sky. It had been a while since she had been out here. She vowed to herself to never go back, because she thought she couldn't handle it, when in reality the memories and feel of the overall place were the only things keeping her from sobbing.
She went back in time(in her head of course) to when Ryuk and her had gone out and sat down, drinking together. They had just gotten back from a long day of dealing with hypocritical teenagers and decided to relax.
They had a nice day, but then it started raining and they parted ways to go home. That was the last time she had ever saw Ryuk.
