Chapter 117 - Solving The Formations, Getting The Fortune!

'Mhmm… This was going to be tricky…' Chojusen thought to himself, while he stared at the wall of formations that blocked his way. The "treasure room" he and the others trapped in the previous trapping formation had seen was nothing more than a mirage, an illusion. The true treasure room was presumably hidden at the end of the array of formations blocking Chojusen's way.

Chojusen cast away his annoyance and started a puzzle solving journey. He could tell that none of these formations would be a problem for him to solve, even if this was the first time he personally came across them. However, each formation would take hours to solve and there were well over a hundred thousand formations of equal complexity blocking him.

Chojusen started with the first formation, it was a Poison Locking Formation; one wrong move and some of the poison generated from the formation would enter Chojusen's system and corroded him to death. Chojusen solved this formation in just under a day because of his caution and was rewarded with a poisonous natural treasure as well as a poisonous Domain; if he trained in the Dao of Poisons, perhaps these two rewards would have been somewhat worthwhile, alas he didn't.

The next formation, a Grand Spearblazing Formation. Several hours later, it was also solved, granting Chojusen an Eternal grade Spear and several spears… More and more formations were being solved and more treasures were earned. At around the 15,000th mark, Chojusen solved a Spacetime Locking Formation giving him and Kaguya access to several Spacetime techniques and a couple Spacetime fruits; there was also a small Domain that let cultivators study the Daos of Space and Time at a faster rate in the space left behind.

Chojusen immediately gave these spacetime fruits to Kaguya and left her in the Spacetime Domain to hone her Spacetime Dao. He returned to his endless quest of formation solving and noticed that as the time passed his skill in formations and the formation Dao was increasing much faster than when he was merely studying the Dao of others.

To solve those first 15,000 formations, Chojusen spent well over two years, but the next 15,000 cost him less than one year to solve. And when he reached the 50,000th formation he had already gained the Omega Dao of Formations. At that moment his skill at deconstructing formations truly reached insanity. Formations that would have taken him days to solve before arriving at this cave, could now be solved in minutes.

Even Kaguya, who had been training all this time, noticed this change as she detected the formations ahead of her crumbling at a rate of ten per hour. When she opened her eyes and left that oh so comfortable state of meditation, she witnessed a meditating Chojusen surrounded by millions of runic symbols, while another Chojusen teleported around the formations striking at seemingly random spots.

Crack! Crack! Crack! Every from the teleporting Chojusen would leave countless cracks on the formation in front of him as he swung his staff with peerless might. No formation of any type could block his way and in less than a month the remaining formations crumbled away into nothing more than astral dust.

The meditating Chojusen stopped using his Omega Formation Dao and merged back with the staff wielding Chojusen. In front of them, there was a truly absurd amount of wealth. The most abundant resource in front of Chojusen were the billions and trillions of cubes of chaos, which created a small sea. Above this sea of solid chaos, there were precious fruits, pills, armaments, and even more precious formation discs.

There was even a top-grade formation disc that the creator of this legacy domain personally used; A treasure that surely would have helped Chojusen solve these formations several hundred times faster, if he had it prior to coming here.

Before touching any of these treasures, Chojusen first made his way to the center of the sea of chaos, as his godsense caught the sight of a note left behind. The note was written in the same sloppy handwriting as the first note located in the previous trapping formation.

It read "If you are reading this, I guess you've passed my test. Oh lucky disciple of mine, here lies all the treasure I've left behind for you to inherit. You can count yourself lucky that I was a Chaos Godbeast, meaning I have no family to give these treasure to; only my sect has my Dao recorded, but I want a final true disciple. Anyways, now that you've made it here, the top treasures at your disposal are my Dao of Formations as well as that cursed Eightheart's Dao of Illusions.

Heh. I managed to erased his lines of karma to his estate treasure, leaving all his precious treasure not destroyed after he sent that suicidal attack my way. Within his estate treasure was actually a godgem containing his Dao of Illusions! Alas, I remain in this state and learning it would be pointless for me. You on the other hand might get something out of it. If not for improving your own Dao, then maybe you could sell it for a fortune or hand it out to your own disciples.

Anyways, I your new master was called Emperor Gengxin during my time. I was a friggin Archon before dying, so count your lucky stars to be my disciple. As an Archon you can imagine how long I lived before being finished off by that shitty Daolord. I have learned many Daos to the Archon level, but never made the push to the Hegemon level. After formally binding my godgem and learning my Dao of Formations, you will also get access to all those supplementary Daos I've learned throughout the years

This is my final message and I don't even know how to end it…" And just like that the message ended.

Chojusen's eye physically twitched as he read the ending to the message. He then cast a look to the side and found the corpse of the fallen Achron. Even in death the man looked dashing and handsome beyond comparison, his body positioned in the meditative lotus position.

Chojusen gave the corpse a bow and held the position for a couple seconds. He then turned to mountain of treasures around him and started to send them to his personal dimension. While others might have what's called an "estate treasure" for storing treasures, Chojusen had his personal dimension. He also cast his godsense all over the final space and brought out remaining lifeblood armament; the Final Shuttle.

Chojusen had gained this "godsense" back when he broke through to the Elder God level in the Nullgod Domain, but didn't know about it until he left that place with Libo. Godsense was an evolution of Coresense, which was an evolution of Divine Sense. Primal Daoists had Divine Sense which let them spread out their awareness to "see" further than any of their other senses. Celestial Immortals evolved this Divine Sense into Coresense which used their perfect Jindan to amplify the potency and range of regular Divine Sense. While Godsense was the final evolution of this extraordinary sensing ability which put Coresense into overdrive; boosting all its effect by a significant level.

With the two Final treasure now out in the open, the treasure spirits hurriedly came out and started yelling at Chojusen that there were several treasures here that they could absorb to become stronger. When Chojusen gave them the go ahead to absorb all the precious treasure around, they became rabid like dogs and jumped around the room.

The female staff spirit jumped with joy at the sight of Five Elements Profound Ore and began to eat the "indestructible" ore as if it were candy. There was a literal mountain of ore, so it was probable that she would have enough to complete one transformation with the ore. As she ate the ore, her rainbow colored robes began to shine brighter and brighter; particularly the red, brown, blue, green, and yellow sections.

The shuttle spirit in contrast to the staff spirit, chose to eat away at some Void Rocks and Spacetime Dewdrops. There were hundreds of these "rocks," though they could better be described as small hills, while the Dewdrops were as vast as hundred kilometer large lakes. Chojusen knew of all these precious treasure from his various conversations with Libo while they were flying to the Staffgod Realmverse, as well as from his time Studying the Daos of Alchemy, Cooking, Artifacting, and Formations; there were very few treasures he didn't know about.

Even though he knew of these precious natural treasures, he was very much against their highly controversial names. Who the fuck calls a lake's worth of pure spacetime essence a dewdrop or a hill with the same moniker as a rock? These god damn immortals and their grandiose sense of pride, calling all these impressive objects by such underwhelming names…
