Chapter 101 - More Grand Daos

After Chojusen added Rias to his peerage, he told her about the benefits of becoming a Chaosfiend — her new affinity for all the various energies and whatnot. They left his room and he took her on a tour of the village, only stopping to do some star gazing from the Hokage monument after their tour.

When Chojusen returned to the summerhome for his vacation, he dropped Rias off at her room. He turned to leave for his room but was stopped by Rias. She gave him a full frontal kiss before letting him go. She wanted to continue, but that might infringe on the agreement between all those on vacation; she didn't know if anyone would be like her and start their day with Chojusen extremely early…

Chojusen said good night to Rias and returned to his room. He asked the system to give him the Law Fragments he earned from the fight against Jashin and the Otsutsuki Patriach and started with the one for Karma. Chojusen went unconscious again and was taken to an empty white space.

The only thing in this space where a line of people stretching out as far as the eye could see. All of these people had at one point or another met with Chojusen and had their karma linked to his own.

Chojusen could see that the people at the start of the line where all people with the greatest amount of karmic merit and as he walked further along, less and less positive karma emanated from the people he saw. Most of the people he knew and had intimate conversations with had some degree of positive karma; rarely were there people like Jiraiya who were tainted with karmic sin just on the basis of how perverted he was. At the midpoint of the line, demarking neutral karma, there was just a long line of babies…

Eventually, when Chojusen got to the end of the line, the last two people he saw were Lord Jashin and the Otsutsuki Patriarch. Lord Jashin had about a billion times more karmic sin than the person ahead of him and the Otsutsuki Patriarch had several dozen more times as much karmic sin as Jashin… The two of them were so overun with Karmic Sin, that they were always burning with Sin flames; not that these flames bothered them, with their level of power (when they were alive).

After going through the line, Chojusen could see how all the people in the line were connected to him. They all had lines of karma — not of merit or sin — attached to his own being and depending on how big of an impact he had on them, the lines could be as thin as a hair or as thick as a hose.

When Chojusen touched these lines, the memories that bound him to the people linked up, would surface. For people like Karin, who had spend most of their lives interacting with Chojusen, these lines of Karma were nearly unbreakable. For others, like a bystander in the middle of the street that just so happened to have seen Chojusen once in their life, their lines of karma could be erased with but a thought.

Through studying these lines, Chojusen began to understand how Karma worked — on a much deeper level. Karma was like an invisible force holding together the spiritual connections between people; like gravity, but for emotions. People could share a strong link through karma based on the intensity of their emotions. In the same way that a wife would remember and hold a strong connection with her husband, though the emotion of love, she might also have an intense connection to her worst enemy, though the emotion of hate.

Emotions are what link us together. Emotions are the lines of karma… And just like that Chojusen made up his own Dao of Karma. It helped that he had been exposed to sensing others emotions with his Essense Sensing; otherwise, studying this elusive form of energy would be very difficult.

Chojusen regained his consciousness for just a short while, before knocking himself out again. This time, the system said it was fine if he used both the Demon and Holy Law Fragments at the same time, since he was a Nephilim.

Chojusen appeared in a new world. One where half was composed of hellfire and fury and the other half, a cool and calm peace. Chojusen started with the section that looked like an apocalypse; he had to respect his start as a lowly devil. He messed about for a couple minutes, looking through the patterns in the demonic energy as though he had rehearsed his actions trillions of times already.

Chojusen was at the True God level for Demonic and Holy Energy Manipulation, so it didn't take him long at all to form his own Demon Dao. However, unlike the five basic elements, these forms of energy were, by nature, more sophisticated; they held more powerful principles, thus taking longer to understand.

Coming to study demonic energy with his mind still going over the discussion of emotions, Chojusen came to understand demonic energy as something akin aggressiveness personified. It was an energy that constantly moved, agitated and relentless. Berserk and hateful. Berserk? That it! Demonic energy behaves almost exactly like the Laws of Duplication…

After making that conclusion for Demonic energy, Chojusen moved on the safe haven right next to the hell hole he had previously been sitting in. Ah… This places was countless times more relaxing than the zone for demonic energy.

Chojusen sat on the clouds of floating holy energy and studied the patterns of the holy particles. Unlike the aggressive and berserk demonic energy particles, these holy particles calmed the mind and nurtured the spirit; like Yin.

Now that Chojusen thought about it, weren't Yin and Holy energy just the counterparts to Yang and Demonic Energy. They should all behave the same under the principles of Duality.

Chojusen stretched out his arms and summoned a holy yin flame in one hand and a demonic yang flame in the other. He fused the two flames together, slowly, to not have the energy blow up in his face, and was left with… Chaos? It was only a small wisp of grandmist, but that was all Chojusen could support; even with his unbelievably strong body.

Once Chojusen created this wisp of grandmist, he understood what happened. He had heard in the past that from nothing, chaos emerged and gave birth to yin and yang. This was only the result of him creating chaos from fusing back the yin and yang together. However, the fusion was even more profound than the regular Fusion Principle of his other Daos; it was an absolute fusion.

Chojusen kept playing around with his new insights until his time in the Law Fragment world ran out and he returned to consciousness.

[Host has created his own set of Daos for Karma, Holy, Demonic, and Chaos energies.

Dao of Karma (Rank Dao | 0/???): The user has created a their own personal Dao of Karma out of the link between people and emotions. Currently, the only principles and laws learned to fuel the user's Dao are Fusion, Essence, Order, Connection, and Transmutation.

Holy Dao (Rank Dao | 0/???): The user has created a their own personal Holy Dao out of the patterns in Holy particles. Currently, the only principles and laws learned to fuel the user's Dao are Fusion, Essence, Order, Duality, Nurture, and Transmutation.

Demon Dao (Rank Dao | 0/???): The user has created a their own personal Demon Dao out of the patterns in Demonic particles. Currently, the only principles and laws learned to fuel the user's Dao are Fusion, Essence, Order, Duality, Berserk, and Transmutation.

Dao of Chaos (Rank Dao | 0/???): The user has created a their own personal Dao of Chaos out of the link between Yin and Yang. Currently, the only principles and laws learned to fuel the user's Dao are Fusion, Essence, Order, Origin, Return, and Transmutation.

Principle Meaning:

Connection: A special principle belonging to the Dao of Karma, responsible for connecting sentient beings to everything in existence. Every interaction with other things leaves behind a trace of Karma that can be interfered with through the application of this principle.

Duality: A special principle that appears between two opposites. Examples: Yin and Yang, Space and Time, Holy and Demonic, etc. Fusion between two Daos that are opposites is normally impossible, but through the application of this principle, not only is it possible, the result is always dangerous.

Nurture: A special principle belonging to the Holy Dao, responsible for regenerative and auxiliary functions within the Holy Dao. Applying this principle will boost the properties aforementioned.

Berserk: A special principle belonging to the Demon Dao, allows for instantaneous explosive wrathful powers. This principle is usually expressed subconsciously by an unstable change to the user's emotions and will temporarily increase the user's powers based on how unstable the emotions become.

Origin: A special principle belonging to the Dao of Chaos, responsible creating everything from the the smallest speck of nothing to the grandest celestial body. Allows for higher states of creation, including the production of grandmist itself.

Return: A special principle belonging to the Dao of Chaos, which facilitates the possibility to convert anything and everything to Chaos.]
