Chojusen's life after marriage didn't change much. He still trained Ino and Karin — and also Kaguya now that he had better insights into the world. He still trained with his friends and hung out with them from time to time. The only real change now was interacting with his mother. Still, they quickly grew close and their family started to have days where to could spend together.
As more time passed and Chojusen's avatar approached completion, Chojusen started to review what his options would be after his clone left. He still had to take care of the faith curse Jashin had given him and the Otsutsuki Clan was not to be taken lightly. However, it would take a couple years before Chojusen would have to worry about these to variables, as that is how long he had before a Realm Shift occurred.
Chojusen had learned about this phenomenon back when he first talked to the system about dealing with the faith curse. The system told him, the the faith curse would do nothing aside from monitor Chojusen's position, so that when Jashin's avatar made its way into the universe, it would be able to kill him.
Much like Chojusen was trying to make an avatar to ascend into higher worlds and grow in strength, beings from a higher world could descend into a lower world when a Realm Shift occurred with an avatar. This only applied when a foreign power tried to enter a world, so if or when Chojusen rose above the Immortal Rank, he would not be rejected by the universe and have to wait for a Realm Shift to return.
Jashin and the Otsutsuki where foreign entities to the universe, so they would have to wait for the Realm Shift to make their moves. The Otsutsuki were a bit worrisome, as Kaguya explained that she was one of the weakest members; most of the higher ranking members were definitely above the Immortal rank.
Aside from the faith curse, there was also that stream of karmic merit. Chojusen was given a deal by the system in exchange for the karmic merit. In exchange for the karmic merit, Chojusen would be able to pick a better starting point in his next world as well as know a bit more about the world before ascending.
Chojusen accepted the exchange and the system began its explanation of the higher world he would enter.
[In the next highest world, the world is more technologically advanced and most people don't have energy or powers. However, the supernatural is more than real and there is a constant struggle between devils, fallen angels, and true angels.
Right now I can give you the choice to start off with any of these three factions.]
"Devils, Fallen Angels, and True Angels? Can you explain what they are individually?"
[Fallen Angels are Angels that have fallen from the grace of God, due to having "impure thoughts" that divert them from the teachings of the God in the Bible. Devils are beings that originated from the Underworld. And the Angels are powerful beings who serve the Biblical God.]
"Biblical God?"
[It would take too much effort to explain now, so just read the bible when you get to the next world.]
"Mhmm? Now these "devils." Are they evil in nature or?"
[They use demonic power while angels use holy power.]
"So if I chose to ally with the devils, my personality won't change?"
[Correct. Why? Do you want to be a devil?]
"Well I'm already part Fiendgod, so it would make sense to either be a devil or fallen angel. But the description of fallen angels is off putting..."
[To confirm, you are choosing to start allied with the devils?]
"Right."
…
The day Chojusen had been waiting for was just around the corner. Before that though, he told Ino, Karin and Kaguya, and the four of them had a special get together as celebration. The day before Chojusen's avatar could come to life, Chojusen started the day up by making a special breakfast feast. By this point, his cooking skills were comparable to his immortal prowess as he could turn even the most boring ingredients into something that both tasted good and looked good.
After the heavenly breakfast, the girls agreed to spend one part of the day with Chojusen. Karin took him from eight in the morning until noon, and the two of them walked around the village and talked about random things, until they made their way back through the training grounds where they spent most of their childhood. There Chojusen cornered Karin against a tree and gave her a passionate kiss as she reminisced about the past.
From noon until four it was Ino's turn to parade around the village with Chojusen, and she chose to go watch a movie. It was a sappy romantic movie, and halfway through the film Ino fell asleep on Chojusen's shoulder. Chojusen stayed with her in the theater as she slept while petting and combing her hair.
When it was Kaguya's turn from four to eight at night, she didn't want to go around the village and instead took Chojusen out into outer space to visit some interesting planets or cosmic events. As Chojusen knew how much she liked watching these things play out, he checked his map for any potential event that happened. Luckily, today there was a star at the brink of collapsing.
Chojusen grabbed Kaguya's arm and teleported trillions of light-years away. Chojusen and Kaguya watched as a star went supernova, wiping out all the celestial bodies for light-years, before becoming a black hole. Kaguya would never be able to see this event so up close and personal without Chojusen cancelling out all the horrifying waves of energy that came from the supernova explosion; it was only through his mastery of the various celestial law principles that they could share this moment.
When the event was over with, Kaguya gave Chojusen a quick peck on the cheeks as thanks for such a good show, and Chojusen promptly teleported them back.
That night was yet another wild and passionate night for Chojusen; so much so that his Dual Cultivation skill had improved to the Master Rank. The next day Chojusen appeared in outer space; ready to tear a path through the void into a higher world.
Chojusen did as the system said and allowed his avatar to come out of his body. The avatar was just a tangible piece of his soul, so it would not have a body until it reached the higher world. This avatar was created a just a sliver of Chojusen's soul, so when it did make it out to the higher world, the body it created could even be billions of times weaker than the true body.
Chojusen looked at his avatar and the avatar looked back at the true body. Since this was an avatar and not just a mere clone, the experiences of the avatar would be transferred to the true body and vices versa in real time. However, that would only apply if they were in the same universe; as soon as the avatar left to go to the higher world, the connection would be cut off.
Chojusen opened a rift in the void and the avatar jumped in. While the avatar passed through the void, Chojusen's true body strained it self to follow the system's directions, so as to not kill his avatar while it travelled between universes.
Eventually, Chojusen's avatar travelled so deep into the void that the true body couldn't sense it, so to keep the avatar safe, Chojusen gave up 99% of his energy to temporarily empower the avatar until it reached the exit. From then on, Chojusen could only hope that the avatar made it out alright.
…
On the avatar's side (Which will from now on just be referred to as Chojusen), Chojusen was flying through the spooky void with a bit of fear and excitement. The void was not like space where it just looked black and empty from earth. No, instead it had a static noise like pattern about it and looking at it for as long as Chojusen had would give anyone nightmares.
As Chojusen was reaching the last leg of the journey through the void, the system told him to consume the World Law Shard as he had already crossed into the higher universe. The system manifested the shard in Chojusen's hand, and like the awakening stone from years ago, Chojusen ate another piece of crystallized essence.
After eating the World Law Shard, the system informed Chojusen that his soul was rapidly acclimating to the new universe and that his old world's system of laws would be usable to him in around a week's time; without the World Law Shard, the process might have taken months.
When Chojusen finally made it out of the void he was greeted with quite the sad scene. In his most vulnerable moment, right after leaving the void, without any time to prepare himself or condense a new body, Chojusen though his journey had already ended. Because as he left the void, his body appear at just the right place for a certain crimson-haired devil to shove a hand full of chess piece through him and into the body behind him.
At that moment, as an act of self defense Chojusen subconsciously used his Chaos and Yin law insights to try and defend himself. Unfortunately, the only thing that accomplished was shattering the soul of the poor guy behind him. In turn causing his soul body to merge with the now soulless husk.
Chojusen didn't know now, but what was currently happening was devil's reincarnation, and he had saved himself quite a bit of trouble by shattering the kid's soul now when he had the chance. Otherwise, if the soul was still present after the reincarnation, Chojusen would be hard pressed to fight it while invading his body.
Since Chojusen was currently just a weak soul body, the act of being forcefully reincarnated caused him to go unconscious. He didn't know now, but when he woke up he would find a very nice surprise in his Status.
