It was the day after Taejoon left for Singapore, Yonna kept glancing at her phone waiting for it to brighten up with a call or notification from him. After waiting all morning there were no calls or anything from Taejoon. She eventually gave up dropping her phone down, leaving it behind before entering the livingroom. When she opened the door to the living room she saw that both the twins were doing the opposite things, as Sarang was drawing flowers and Chinhwa watched some boring political debate.
Yonna frowned as she watched how absurdly Chinhwa was to the tv and how none of them were interacting with each other.
She grabbed the TV control to shut it off as the screen blinked into darkness.
"Mom, it was getting good." Chinhwa whined trying to win over Yonna's heart with his inner cuteness giving a wide sulking puppy eye.
Yonna deflected his attack on her, looking away from his sappy torn up eyes as if the world turned against him.
"Today lets all have some fun family outing!" She pulled them both onto their foot and forced them to change as she prepared lunch meals for a small picnic. Yonna haven't had a family outing in a while so she thought instead of thinking about Taejoon she might as well switch focus on her cute-cheeky kids.
She stationed herself in the kitchen cutting away at all sorts of fruits like strawberries and bananas. Yonna moved on to rolling up the neatly layered bibimbap inside filled with esthetically pleasing combinations.
She first laid down rice spreading it onto the crisp dried seaweed sheet adding onto it was fresh thinly chopped carrots that complemented the cucumber along with it was some yellow crunchy pickled radish with that was some sliced sausage laid neatly down.
After making food for a while she forced the twins to march with her like a family set, they all wore matching cheeky white sweatshirt with a cute small frog in the top corner of it, pairing it with bright blue jagged jeans.
Yonna prepared last-minute tickets to a thrilling amusement park, one that had been advertised on tv. She thought it would be a great idea for them to make some fun memories.
As She drove closer to the amusement park the sight of rollercoasters, and the Ferris wheel grew closure as you could see the Ferris wheel going around slowly to see the high up view.
"Mommy where are you taking us." Sarang licked her lips, eyeing the lunch box as the aroma of bimbimbop filled the car with its delicious smell.
Yonna looked through the review mirror she couldn't tell if Sarang was excited about the amusement park or the food she packed for their picnic, but seeing her little happy face was good enough for her. Yonna looked to the other side that Chinhwa could not be bothered, he didn't look excited nor even interested in the slits bit,
his palms supported his head as he watched signs and cars go by.
"We're getting closer to the amusement park, I was really happy when I found out I was free from my schedule. What perfect timing, we could finally get out somewhere free from any worry." Yonna sigh with enthusiasm.
She held both the twins in hand as they were welcomed through the entrance by the employees dressed in cartoon costumes to appeal to young kids. Like wise the most popular character Pororo approached them wabbling its way waving so bubbly, Pororo opened his arms up waiting the twins to scream and run up to him. But sadly he was faced with rejection, when both twins faced him with idiot written all over their forehead. Yonna didn't know wether to laugh or cry seeing Pororo rejected made her feel guilty but the twins reaction were just to great, in the end she apologized for making Pororo embarrassed. As the day got hotter beads of sweat rolled down their faces, waiting in line for the carousel, the twins very first ride.
The carousel was always such a great memory from her childhood, it always felt so magical, like something you'd see from a fairy tale with all its bright and attracting colors as the horses attached to it seemed so alive.
It was now their turn to ride so Yonna carried them onto the same horse.
"Make sure not to let go, mommy is going to wait out there for you."
Yonna smiled ear to ear waving bye to them as the announcement came for them to start the ride.
Chinhwa was up front holding onto the metal pole as Sarang held nervously onto Chinhwa's waist.
As they began to move Sarang snuggled her face into Chinhwa's back struggling to look up.
"Sarang it's fine look up, just stay closer to oppa." Chinhwa looked behind himself trying to get Sarang to look up.
Sarang peeked through his back only opening one eye and gripping harder onto Chinhwa's shirt. But as she saw the slow movement on the carousel Sarang couldn't stop but fully look up as she saw all the other horses ahead of them bobbing up and down she just couldn't look away. The carousel went one more round as Yonna finally caught sight of them, she saw that Sarang was actually smiling and Chinhwa holding tightly onto the pole just like his mom had told him to. Yonna snatched out her small camera making sure to take hundreds of pictures of the twins. She was dazed by their adorable cheeky charm.
