Chapter 13 - The Prince Smirk

The dark prince smirked. Her kick earlier if connected seemed like it would hurt, but she was protecting her plate as she kicked and when she jumped off the ship, there was not a slight hesitation in her movement. Her personality was so reckless, stubborn, yet so strong and decisive. The corner of his mouth lifted up.

"Yu Sha of SNYS Consultant," the prince muttered to himself.

Butler Zeu who was on standby was left taken back for he had never in his life, seen the distant and stoic prince giving a pleasant glance at anyone. Since the day when the prince was born, it was the first time that the prince's face had acquired quite a different expression towards a woman.

"Prince," Butler Zeu hesitated but asked anyway, "Are you... interested in her?"

The prince ignored Butler Zeu and continued staring at the small figure in the water, swimming farther away from the ship.

After halfway through, Yu Sha swam to shore and walked the rest of the way. She went right to the highest part of the cliff and found a comfortable spot to sit on. She leaned onto the big rock behind her and put her hands behind her head for cushion staring into the deep ocean. A stronger gust of wind blew by made her close her eyes to feel the wind. Her heart had been feeling restless since the moment she arrived. Yu Sha did not know what was causing her to feel so antsy as if she was supposed to remember something very important but was unable to recall.

Thirty minutes later, Yu Sha heard someone approaching. She tilted her head and opened her eyes to see who it was. She already guessed that it might be Keo, but she wanted to be sure of it.

Keo climbed up the cliff and threw a sunscreen bottle over to her,

"The sun is strong. You've been in the water for quite some time. Reapply some lotion to avoid getting burns."

Yu Sha caught the bottle that Keo threw at her. "Thanks."

Keo found a spot to sit on. While Yu Sha was busy applying lotion, he kept glancing at her every now and then, visibly in deep thought. Sometimes, even though he was so close to her, he could feel that she was very far away. And this was one of those moments when he felt like she was slipping away.

He could not pinpoint what was wrong with her other than maybe she suffered from some kind of depression but, Yu Sha grew up with a great family foundation. She was loved and spoiled rotten. She was the first child but born prematurely and suffered from medical complications and her parents spoiled her in every possible way they could. More than half of Yu Sha's first 7 years of life was spent in the hospital but she had gotten better as she got older. So he could not guess what caused her to slip away from time to time.

Yu Sha noticed that Keo was not moving or speaking. She glanced over and saw Keo lost in thought. "Keo," she called out.

Keo lifted his head to look at Yu Sha, feeling complicated and unable to put things into words. "Yu Sha, do you have something weighing in your heart?"

She closed the sunscreen bottle and put it down on the ground and knitted her brows. "Why would you ask such a weird question?"

"Ah… nothing. I was just thinking so..." Trying to avoid answering her, he changed the topic. "Do you want to swim more? If so, you should go now. There are only twenty more minutes for you to idle around."

"Oh, yeah. Okay." Yu Sha got up and jumped down into the water.

Keo succeeded in diverting her attention.

After twenty minutes, Keo went down to the shore. He smiled and waved at her to let her know they would have to leave. Yu Sha swam back to shore.

Not wanting to walk back in the silence, Keo striked a conversation. "Um... Leo brought custom made dresses for you two ladies to wear for the banquet."

"Eh, is that why you guys came?" Yu Sha was a little disappointed.

Keo looked at the woman walking next to him. "Partially yes, and the dresses are from his next project."

Yu Sha pursed her lips and knitted her brows. "Hmph, so he just wants to use us to showcase his dresses… but I guess free dresses?"

"Exactly, it's not bad. And have you two prepared a speech for the banquet?" Keo asked.

She nodded. "I think Su Na prepared something. She's the boss of SNYS Consultant. Only she makes public appearances. I work in the shadow. Hehehe."

"I think that is fine too." Keo smiled but in hindsight, there must be a reason why Yu Sha did a lot of behind the scene work and Su Na made public appearances and did interviews. He did not want to probe sand he thought that when the time comes, he would know.

Standing in front of the door to her room, Yu Sha realized that she had left her room card in Su Na's room as she had spent last night over at Su Na's place. She took a few steps to the left and knocked on Su Na's door.

Su Na had just stepped out of the shower when she heard the knock. She assumed it to be Yu Sha. Her hair was still dripping wet when she quickly threw a robe on and rushed to the door.

Yu Sha stood at the door with a bright smile to greet her. "Hehe... I came to get my card. Did you sleep well?"

Su Na nodded her head and widened the door, making space for Yu Sha to enter. "Come in."

Yu Sha went to the nightstand on the side she was sleeping on and picked up her room card.

Su Na remembered about the dress. She turned to the closet and took out a long dress covered in a long, white piece of cloth to keep it from getting dirty during the flight. "Leo left your dress here."

Yu Sha smiled and reached for the dress. Keo had mentioned about the dress so it must be that. "Thanks! Knock on my door if you're done before me."

Almost an hour later, people showed up for the banquet. Quite a few of the social elites and investors had come. Some had come alone while some, with their dates, and some with their spouse and children.

Social elites and investors liked that kind of gathering. Some took any opportunity they could to show off what they had. Some liked to network and see if they could fish out what the next hot thing was, and some tried seeking for business collaborations. It did not take long before the room was crowded with people.
