Chapter 6 - Chapter 5

Dominus finished materializing, only to be tackled by a young woman in her teens. This took him by surprise and he instinctively glanced up and closed his eyes. This young lady is none other than Mordreda, his little sister's daughter and his niece.

"U-uncle Dominus, what's wrong...?" Mordreda asked in a worried and confused tone. Did something just happen? That was when she heard Airah. "M-m'lady! Y-your clothes!" Ah that's right. She was changing and had nothing on. Wait... She had nothing on!?

She shrieked and as quickly as possible, put on her clothes and sat down, her face redder than a tomato.

Draco chuckled from inside Dominus' cloak, who in turn, flicked his forehead. It took a few minutes of awkward silence for Mordreda to calm down and regain her composure.

"Uncle Dominus, i-it's been a few years, did you come because you heard of me possibly being engaged?" Dominus sighed as he patted her head. "You could say that, but that isn't perfectly accurate, my dear little liger."

Ah yes, the liger, her signature symbol. The child of a tiger and a lion, a natural born leader, and a natural born warrior. She smiled and pulled out a sword. It was silvery white and had a circle in the middle of it's cross shaped guard.

Mordreda spoke with a grin on her face. "It's been a few years, uncle. Shall we have a little sparring session? Just like the first time we met?" Dominus raised his left brow and smirked. "If I recall correctly, you couldn't even so much as scratch me when we had our first battle. Are you sure you want things to be just like that time?"

Mordreda puffed her cheeks in annoyance "You know what I mean, uncle Dominus!" With this cute reaction, Dominus' smile grew. "Alright, alright. I won't even need a weapon this time. I'll show you just how strong your uncle is."

Dominus put his right hand in the pocket of his black pants and put his left by his side, slowly walking towards Mordreda, who put her sword, which was two handed, behind her, twisting her body while holding the double edged longsword with a reverse grip.

She began channeling her Mana around her body and the into the sword, causing it to glow red, just like the small shine on her body. She waited for Dominus to only be two feet away from her before leaping forward. "Raaaaaagh!!"

.....................

Airah was putting a herbal ointment on the top of her head, which had a bump. Why? Shall we head back three minutes before this?

.....

Dominus pushed the blade away with his left hand. Mordreda countered by releasing her left hand grip and switching her reverse, right hand grip to a normal one.

She followed up by slashing down onto Dominus' shoulder, who in turn countered by pushing the blade aside once more.

Mordreda returned to her previous grip, using her left hand to stop the momentum the blade originally once had and replaced it with a twisting cut using only the tip.

Dominus moved aside, only for Mordreda to raise the sword up, aiming at Dominus' eyes, as she had returned to holding the sword with a normal grip, albeit with two hands.

He avoided this too and as Mordreda was about to do an overhead slash, Dominus' figure flashed, creating an afterimage and appearing behind her. He clenched his left fist and gave her a blow to the head using the bottom of his fist.

.....

"I really never thought that the difference between the two of us was that big... No wonder father says that even if he and mother were to fight you at the same time, you wouldn't even recieve serious injuries while winning..." Said Mordreda in a dejected tone.

"But seriously, one hand. All it took was one hand to beat me, when will I ever reach that level of skill..."

She continued, only to realize something. "Wait! I was channeling my Mana around my sword! How come you aren't even hurt, uncle!?"

Dominus grinned at this question as he raised his chin slightly while crossing his arms. "Let me say it again. I'll show you just how strong your uncle is. Now do you understand?"

He spoke slowly, making sure Mordreda had enough time to register what he had just said. It worked. How did he know? He watched Mordreda and Airah's eyes grow wider and wider as he spoke.

"U-uncle, t-that's a joke... Right? Please tell me this is a joke and you just have a means of channeling your Mana while keeping it hidden." Mordreda spoke in an almost begging tone of voice.

Dominus was pleasantly surprised. "Although you are correct that I can channel my Mana while keeping it invisible to the naked eye at some extent, I'm afraid I didn't quite use that when we had our little 'sparring match'. If it could even be considered sparring."
