Mo Hai watched, mesmerized, as Li Shu approached the car and knocked on the window. Mo Hai snapped out of his daze and quickly wound down the window. The stench of cigarettes escaped through the opening at once, causing Li Shu to turn away and sneeze.
Mo Hai turned and realized he was holding a cigarette. He immediately stubbed it out, opened the door and got out.
Li Shu said, "Don't shut the door. Let the air through."
The man halted and obediently did as he was told. Then he looked at Li Shu and asked nervously, "Why- why did you come out here?"
Li Shu: …
She looked at the man and replied, "Shouldn't I be the one asking this question?"
Mo Hai was stumped for a moment and then gushed, "Oh- oh. I signed the divorce agreement and brought it."
After he said this, he walked around the car. He opened the front passenger seat door, bent over and looked at the crumpled document.
