Mei Feng was woken up in the middle of the night by a stomachache.
Dragging her exhausted body, she walked to the bathroom.
The discomfort in her body told her that it could be that time of the month again.
She couldn't straighten her back because of the ache in her abdomen. Frowning, she sat on the toilet to relieve herself.
She looked up into the mirror and saw her face staring back at her—she was as pale as a sheet.
She suddenly recalled her doctor's words, "You had too many abortions when you were young and that had damaged your uterus. It's unlikely that you can get pregnant again and your periods will be exceptionally painful."
Exceptionally painful. More than exceptionally painful, she felt nauseous and wanted to throw up. The pain made her break out in cold perspiration, she was unable to stand up straight and her bare face was ashen.
