He woke to a cacophony of human voices. When he opened his eyes, he followed an IV line and saw the IV drip hanging from an IV stand. Nurses surrounded him. When they saw that he was conscious, one of them said excitedly, "He's awake! He's finally awake!"
Hua Jin frowned and opened his mouth. His nose and throat were painfully dry. Through his blurry vision, he saw a doctor approaching. "How are you, young lady?" he asked nervously. "Are you feeling unwell, or have any pain or discomfort?"
