Fifteen minutes later, Huo Chen sauntered out of the kitchen with two steaming bowls and two pairs of chopsticks in his grip.
"Seafood noodle, there," he said, passing a glance at Wen He who apparently went absent-minded as he placed the food on the table. She quickly ran to the table and sat down like a little girl at her Christmas surprise.
For some reason, it was indeed a bowl of instant noodles yet it looked pretty exquisite, as if something from the Michelin chef.
"You have scored 10/10 for everything in this bowl, sir. You're husband material, serious!" She snickered as she licked her lips.
Like a kitten encountering a giant slice of fish, she purred cunningly "If I'm not going anywhere else, can I just stay with you like—for the rest of my life?"
"No."
"No to the 'no' you've just said. I'm staying, regardless," teased Wen He as she placed one scoop into her mouth.
