Outside the protectorate administrative building, Lu Mingshu hid on a rooftop, hugging her sword.
Zhou Ruying was beside her, sitting in an ugly posture as if she was at home.
"Hey, what are you thinking about?" Zhou Ruying picked up some grass and poked Lu Mingshu.
"What if I die here?" Lu Mingshu replied.
Zhou Ruying stared at her blankly for a moment before laughing out loud. "You are afraid of dying? What joke is this?"
"Of course. If I die, somebody would be upset."
Zhou Ruying leaned back and sighed, looking at her with envy. "Your master, huh? You're lucky, at least one person cares about you."
"Yeah." Master, Hui Niang, Ah Sheng, Gao Xiang, and…
Lu Mingshu looked up at the sky. Even though there's not many, there are still people who care about me.
"Good for you! If I die, I doubt anyone would care." Zhou Ruying looked up too.
"That's why you can't die."
