After a mad dash, Wei Chunqiu suddenly stopped.
"What's the matter?" Yue Lingyin poked her head out from behind him.
Wei Chunqiu let out a breath and drew his sword, "Let's fight our way through."
Lu Mingshu silently followed suit.
Yue Lingyin saw the scene ahead and gasped in shock.
The road was blocked by Ghost Soldiers, but these were completely different from those above. They wore neat armor and helmets, and despite the years, their gear still looked as good as new. The Ghost Soldiers stood in formation, almost as if they were alive, except their bodies were wrapped in a dense Yin Energy that made it impossible to associate them with the rotting skeletons they had encountered before.
"What is this?"
"The ruler's trusted aides, perhaps," said Lu Mingshu.
Wei Chunqiu didn't correct her, it seemed she had guessed correctly.
Feeling the presence of living beings, the Ghost Soldiers raised their large sabers and slashed at them.
