"Yes!" Old Hei smiled bitterly in his heart but kept nodding on the surface. He stepped up and solved the mechanism. He wanted to prove to Lin Yi that he was capable as well, and could go into the palace without Lin Yi's help. This way, he'd have more cards to use when negotiating the rewards!
He didn't even dare think about what Elder Yu wanted- trying to aim for that was too much for him. Plus, those things wouldn't be beneficial to him anyway; they're not things that would work for him. It was hard to sell them, too.
