But Xiaoke now was different- Lin Yi knew about her situation, and understood why she worked so hard to earn money. In his heart, she was already a friend- he didn't want anything to happen to her.
He had a jade alert system, and people who he accepted would be included in it. Once danger came, he would have known- and so he let out a breath of relief when the jade stayed silent. He didn't interfere with Xiaoke then, only standing coldly.
Xiaoke evidently didn't know if it was dangerous or not, and so when everyone backed off, she jumped away after opening the door to the path where they went yesterday.
The door opened, and nothing happened. No poison gas, no poison arrows, no monsters… Just some dust and a smell of mold.
"No problem!" Old Hei said as he shined the searchlight for a bit. "Somebody came here before, and there are some used arrows on the ground. There isn't any danger left when we came."
