Ra would not let this opportunity pass, he stood up and started his speech. Just as he did, Tria brought her hand to her chin as support to watch him make a fool of himself.
"You seem quite impatient fellow officials, who wouldn't be, but from what I've seen, of yes I can see now, you have all brought quite the gifts, hoping to rope the priestess in huh? Isn't that treason, your majesty? Ra started then turned towards the emperor.
Emperor Chen's brows furrowed, "Please elaborate official Ashir because this is quite an accusation."
"Of course your majesty, the reason why I call it treason, is because these officials would only earn so much a year, have brought out some the most expensive gifts that they wouldn't even gift in the yearly gift giving event to your majesty, and yet somehow they have brought them out today, for what reason if not to rope in the priestess? What is their goal, to overtake the throne!"
A commotion broke out, and everyone was on edge because what he said wasn't wrong, what they have brought out were their family's whole savings, and for loyalty's sake they should be giving those gifts to the emperor, what were they thinking? With that thought, some of the women started hiding the little bundles of gist under their dresses, while the men were tucking stuff inside their vests.
"Hahaha," the emperor laughed," Minister Ashir, it's good to have you back, not too worry, I do not think anyone's act is treason, after all, meeting the priestess could be life-changing...might as well give it your best no?"
The emperor was in a good mood, there is no way Ra Ashir's accusations could turn him sour, after all, he knew what he was up to.
"Thank you for your benevolence, Your Majesty," said everyone, before glaring angrily at Ra Ashir.
"By the way, Minister Ashir, your eyes are healed what good news! Who is the miracle doctor, do share such a great person with us," inquired the emperor.
Everyone turned to look at Ra Ashir, and no could believe the words that came out of his mouth next.
"The priestess, of course!"
Crash!
Ra Ashir, the demoted minister, has already met the priestess and had even had her eyes healed. As much as they wanted to not believe, they had no choice but to because only the priestess could truly heal his eyes so miraculously.
"You've met the priestess?" asked the emperor.
"Yes, Your Majesty!"
"What was she like?"
"We did not converse much, but I can say that she was extremely powerful, and should not be taken likely," proudly answered Ra Ashir.
Clap! Clap! Clap! Clap!
"Minister Ashir, your eyes worked a lot better than I imagined," said Tria who had just clapped, while she walked her way towards the center of the room, along with Chukah and Hepri.
"Despicable daughter, what are you up to now?" raged Ra Ashir who was still mad from what had happened earlier.
"Ra Ashir, how dare you!" scolded the emperor in defense of Tria.
"Your Majesty, please forgive me!" Ra Ashir quickly bowed and apologize.
"Dear daughter-in-law, is there something you wish to say," the emperor asked Tria but before she could answer Madame Ashir was the one who spoke out this time.
Madame Ashir was not unaware of the events that happened at the third prince's manor, to have her husband come home with broken bones, it shamed her to know it was the result of Tria's actions. Therefore, there was no way she'd let her parade her pretty self around when she was manipulating everyone.
"Your Majesty, please forgive me I have this daughter wrongly, and to atone for my crimes as a parent, I can only reveal what my pitiful daughter has done," cried Madame Ashir.
'What the hell was going on?' is the question that popped into everyone's head. They had come to see the priestess, but what were these people doing arguing about?
The emperor did not know what had gotten into Ra Ashir and his wife, and he did not want them to make a commotion on such an important day. He looked at Crei, and he seemed unbothered, his eyes were only fixated in Tria, and when he looked at Tria it was as if this matter did not concern her. Maybe there was nothing for him to worry about, he thought.
"Is that so? Since today is the day you want to reveal such crimes, get on with it, we have other matters in our agenda today," said the emperor.
Madame Ashir rejoiced that she was allowed to talk, feeling bold and daring, she walked forward and passing by Tria, she whispered," I will have you thrown out like a dog today!"
