Tria was not seemingly upset but everyone could feel the chill surrounding her.
She was leading ahead along with Chukah while Hepri was left with Crei in the back.
Crei did not talk to him, nor did he torture him but Hepri was still uncomfortable because Crei's presence was enough to suffocate him.
"Kind Sir, please control your energy a little bit," Hepri pleaded to Crei.
Crei looked at him with an eyebrow raised then scoffed.
"Hmph!"
"There's movement ahead, I think we are close to a city...and water?" Tria said suddenly.
"A lot of water it would seem, are we going in the wrong direction?" asked Chukah.
Crei shot a look at Hepri who was supposed to be their guide.
"Oh dear ancestors, we are going in the right direction if we can hear water, and that is because Centria is an island, in the middle of the ocean, only by boat can anyone access it and you have to be approved before you can enter," Hepri had lost his spirit, he looked completely dejected. He repeatedly asked himself how upon meeting the priestess, he has just constantly been disappointing her, and now her marriage was in chaos because of him. There was nowhere to run, he had to accept his fate when the time came.
"An island?" Tria said mischievously, she was thinking of sinking the whole island down along with its evil inhabitants.
"U-uh hmm...it used to be the land of the merpeople, but they had all been driven away deep into the sea."
"I'm not even surprised anymore, they steal land and now act as if it's their own claiming who can and cannot enter, what a load of bull!"
After a while, they arrived in the port city, where it was full of different kinds of people doing trading and selling all kinds of merchandise, from spices to slaves.
The four of them had blended into the crowd of people, and they had noticed the guards who dressed up exactly like the Eye people patrolling around.
Ahead of where they were heading broke out a sudden commotion.
"This guy is selling his wife, how despicable!"
"Uh, I heard he wanted to remarry so he's selling her to have enough for the new wife!"
"No way! How shameless can you get!"
"This one is a beauty though, does that mean the wife is even more beautiful?"
"It doesn't matter, whatever price she gets for that one, it is bound to be hefty, look how many people are bidding for her."
"400!"
"450!"
"600"
"..."
"650!"
People were shouting left and right, and Tria could help but feel sympathetic for the lady, and while observing the unfortunate event, Crei's matter had popped back into her mind.
"Chukah...No Hepri! Buy her, we'll wait for you at a nearby restaurant," she said and turned around.
"Yes ma'm!" he enthusiastically answered, Tria was talking to him again so he's happy..well it was more like ordering him but he was still happy.
Hepri headed toward the guy who was selling his wife and whispered something into his ear.
The man looked at him blankly, then suddenly grinned widely.
"Sold!" he yelled out, then handed the leash he had his wife on to Hepri, and took the money pouch from Hepri.
"What the hell?!"
"We were still bidding, and we didn't even hear his price!"
The people who were looking to buy the woman because upset but shut up quickly when they heard Hepri's words.
"Y'all got 10,000? No? Then get the hell out of my way!"
With his leash in one hand, he proudly made his way to where Tria was waiting, happy that he was back on her good side.
