Chereads / Priestess Of The Land / Chapter 92 - Sacred Land

Chapter 92 - Sacred Land

Hepri and Chukah opened their eyes and they both felt their powers intensifying and stabilizing progressively. Tria was proud that they had both leveled up with her, and now all four of them were celestials.

Rumbles!

"Alright, it's time to get out of here, Hepri, lead the way," Tria said in urgency, although they were all strong, being buried alive underground is still a threat.

"Yes, let's go," Hepri led them towards the tunnel, and they rushed out as soon as they could.

The tunnel was a very long one, and they have been running for over two hours, considering that they are all celestials, the distance they have run would take an ordinary being over ten hours.

"Do you know where this road leads to Hepri, we have been going for a while now," said Chukah.

"Uh...about that, since the temple has been built, we never had to come this way, only the priestess used to use it as a way to get things for our tribe in secret. However, it would be safe to assume, it's... safe?" Hepri said with doubts.

"Hmm, just in case...Hepri, you're also my uncle now for this trip, don't forget that I am a boy," Tria reminded him. It would be troublesome for Hepri to call her 'my priestess' where there are people.

Hepri looked at both Chukah and Crei, and did not see any changes, and realized that Tria was not kidding, and nodded his head awkwardkly in response.

Not long after, they had finally seen a small light, which got larger the closer they got.

"It's the exit!" rejoiced Hepri.

"Hmm."

It was the exit, the four of them exited the tunnel, which seemed like a hidden cave from the outside, and they ended up in the middle of a mountain. It was no longer the desert, instead it was a rainforest.

What was shocking to them though, was the state the forest was in, it was as if an earthquake had happened, followed by a tornado. Broken trees, flooding, and pile of dirt was all over the area, and there were people in a line with luggages evacuating the area. Blending into the crowd of people, they were able to find out what had occured.

"Damn gods! The war have finally reached our realm, what are we going to do? We can't even get out of the Unknown Land," complained the people.

"What war are you talking about uncle?" Tria asked an older man, as she tried to help him with his luggage.

"Oh thank you kiddo, you're so young, of course, you haven't heard about the war, the war in the God Realm. Before the people from the outside came, this land was a sacred land, where the gods would create their own people and put them together to live. This land was the original Land Of All, the land where we could all live; until that Sun God created the Sun Land," he said then sighed, "his creation made the other gods believe that he wanted to separate himself from them and wanting to be ultimate God, which he ended up being, and just to take him down, the war started."

Tria was following along nodding her head until the end, she furrowed her brows a the older man. 'That can't be all of it, can it?'

The older man noticed her frown and laughed," well that was what my mother said, anyways to answer your question, that same war that has been going on for ages have reached this realm, and due to the rip in space in the sublands, the power used by the gods is enough to cause earthquakes and storms, that's what happened here, it has happen before, we just need to move somehwere safer, because the barrier here is already damaged."

Tria nodded her head again, her thoughts had already drifted away.

'I wonder if that was why Hoth had left? He did tell me about this war that's happening over there, but to think that it's reaching here is quite crazy to think about. All these people who cannot leave the Unknown and the barrier that is supposed to protect them is thinning out.'

Tria looked around, and every one of these people were victims of their creators. The idea of living together was nice, but what would be the point if they were going to be abandoned in the end. Left on their own to fend for themselves, and trapped in a Land of unpredictable disasters.
