Chereads / Priestess Of The Land / Chapter 88 - Another One

Chapter 88 - Another One

Not far from where the barrier was, was a large triangular temple, abandoned with one single living inside.

"She's here! She's finally here! I've waited so long, children...children, get ready, we shall go welcome her," sounded out a voice, echoing through the whole place.

Squeals, ticks, and clicks were heard throughout the temple as an army of beetles were gathering towards the man.

"Good! She's close by, we shall go now," he said loudly, and his army of beetle carried him away towards Tria's location.

Meanwhile, where Tria was.

"I only need a little information, don't look so scared," Tria said while still sitting on the man's chest.

Across from her were the previous bandits, all tied down with only the leader without a rag in his mouth. They all had scared looks upon their faces, they were the king of bandits of this place, out their many times ambushing travelers, this is their first time meeting such a devilish young man.

"Do you seriously think you can come in here and ask questions about the Eye?" he asked threateningly, but deep down was trying to come up with a plan to escape.

"Of course I can, it's not like they are the Emperor, I only want to know where their hidden spots are, a map, and no trouble, that's all," Tria shrugged like what she was asking for shouldn't be that much.

"No trouble? Once my boss hears of this, do you think you'll be safe?" the man screamed at Tria. He was scared, however, if he was to speak about the Eye, his head would be rolling the next day, they are not called the Eye for no reason, especially in the Unknown Land, they know everything. So surely, they will hear about him talking about them.

"Do you think you're safe right now? I checked you all, none of you carries a map, your hideout must be nearby, why don't we go there?" Tria asked and smirked evilly.

"My boss won't let you go, you better believe this."

"You're not helping me, and starting to annoy me frankly...who's your boss though?"

"Haha, my boss is the one who rules this side of the desert, even the Eye can't touch him," the man proudly answered.

"It seems that you've forgotten that I could kill you at any moment?" Tria forced her sword on the man throat slightly cutting him.

"Fine, fine, I'll talk, please don't kill me," the man started crying.

"About time, let's go to your hideout and get a map, then we'll leave you and your group alone," Tria offered him a deal.

"Sure, haha---B-boss!!!" the man cried out, "the boss has not forsaken us, he's coming to rescue us," he pointed towards a black sandstorm roaring its way over.

Tria furrowed her brows, and Crei rushed to her to shelter her for any impact, however to their surprise, the storm seemed to die down as it got closer and closer to them. Until, it turned into a singular man walking out of the storm, with beetles scurrying over his bare chest.

Chukah who did not move had walked toward the man, and they hugged each other upon contact.

'What's going on,' wondered the bandits,' isn't boss here for us?'

Tria smiled when Chukah had brought the man closer.

He was a bold-headed dark-skinned man, and tall, as well as charming.

He kneeled in front of Tria, and said.

"You have come, you have finally come," he said.

Tria who had felt the man's energy had long figured out what was happening. She touched the man's head to acknowledge him.

She has gained another guardian.
