"Where are they? We've been waiting for half day, they should have been here already," complained Nephi.
"Whether they come late or not, it won't change their fate, make sure the men stay alert," ordered the Master.
"Yes, Master..." Nephi answered and wanted to say something but she did not want to get out of line.
"What is it?" the man asked.
"I was just wondering if we should have called back number one and number two back for this mission."
"They are on an important mission as well, the tunnels to the Sun Land need to succeed, because of the barrier, going through the Earth Land to get there is just too much trouble. The higher-ups are expecting for this to succeed," the man answered.
"Ah, yes Master, I shall go make sure everyone is alert," Nephi bowed she left.
"Hmm," the man nodded his head.
Ubdi Lake was located in a normal setting, surrounded by pains and fishes swimming around inside. If it was not for the information the Eye had received before, they would have never guessed that there was another dimension hidden right at the top of the lake, floating in the air. It was most noticeable when it rained when the water would get mysteriously blocked.
At this moment, the path to the lake was clear, while the Eye had surrounded the area, waiting to ambush Tria and her group. Unexpected to them, they were the ones who were being surrounded and silently being killed by Hoth and his fast moonlight sword.
Getting the signal that they Eye only had the Master and his entourage left alive, Tria started walking along the path towards the lake on her own.
"She's here," Nephi said she pulled out her dual daggers.
"Wait...let her destroy the barrier first, then get her--wait, where are her companions, I thought she wasn't alone?"
"Maybe they were killed by us in Crescent Lake, that's probably why she took so long," answered Nephi.
"Hmm...true, alright, be ready for when dispelled the barrier," he ordered.
Nephi and her Master, along with their crew waited while Tria made her way towards the lake.
Tria walked up the lake and looked around, then she sat down as she looked at the fishes playing in the water with the moonlight reflecting upon their scales. She smiled and her beauty had hypnotized even Nephi along with her Master. They had almost forgotten what they were there for, but they still continued to watch Tria as she smiled and played with the fishes. Creeping up right behind them was the three protectors, Crei and Hoth.
"Enjoying the show?" asked Crei coldly, so cold it gave his opponents goosebumps.
Shwing!
As they turned around, Nephi got in front of her master to protect him, holding her daggers up against the five.
In that instant, Hoth had swung his sword, cutting Nephi's arms and her chest. She fell back over her Master, bleeding to death.
"That's what I should have done to you one hundred years ago when you had tried to protect your master because look at you now...you ended up taking her place," Hoth said and pointed his sword tip against the guy's throat.
"G-Go-God Hoth?!" the guy stammered in shock, he was not expecting to see God Hoth there. If God Hoth did not spare his life about one hundred years ago when he had killed the previous master, he would have not been able to be promoted to be her replacement.
"It looks like you remember me, good. Kill the rest," Hoth ordered the three protectors.
As ordered, they killed all the remaining men and left only the Master alive. Then they brought him along to where Tria was.
"All finished?" she asked before she stood up and stopped playing with the fishes.
The Master was shocked again to find out that the priestess this time was also acquainted with Hoth.
They had suffered a big loss one hundred years ago, and they thought that Hoth had gone into hiding, but they were wrong. Hoth was probably waiting for this moment, the Master thought.
"Let's go in then," Tria said after she received a nod from Hoth.
Tria and Hoth, along with Crei only went in this time. With fewer obstacles, the conversion of Hoth's thoughts and transferring them to him went a lot smoother.
