Chapter 78 - Next is West

Tria had just finished transferring all the memory particles towards Hoth. Exhaling in fatigue, she opened up her eyes upon the sight of dozens of corpses lying on the ground and Crei and the protectors waiting for them.

"So many had come in?" she asked in surprise.

"Hm, they couldn't wait to die," answered Mata whose eyes did not leave Hoth.

"He'll wake up soon," assured Tria.

Mata blushed hearing her words.

"How are you feeling?' asked Crei pulling her towards him.

"I'm fine, just a little tired," she smiled at him.

"This should make you feel better," he said. Before she could ask him what, he kissed her forehead lightly.

'Yeah, right!' she was about to say but amazingly enough, she felt refreshed and relaxed afterward.

Tria did not ask him what he did and simply smiled at him as a thank you. She then joined the group in waiting for Hoth to stabilize his thoughts.

A little while after, he woke up. His aloof face had changed greatly, from indifference to great sadness.

"Let's leave!" he said solemnly then flew out the underground cave first.

Everyone else followed, they understood Hoth's feelings. Memories he had once experienced and sealed resurfacing will also bring up old emotions; scars, though healed, will still hurt when touched.

With Hoth flying ahead, and the three protectors in the middle, with Tria and Crei at the back, the group continued their journey towards the west.

"Hoth is carrying great sorrow," said Tria as she clenched her chest. Although she was not trying to feel Hoth's pain, she still felt his anguish from how strong it was.

Crei pulled her back so they could distance themselves from Hoth. If his wifey was in pain and uncomfortable, so was he. He rubbed her back to make her feel better and reassured her that all was well, and it worked.

Tria's pain alleviated and she continued following along.

Not long after, Chukah met their group and since they did not know his existence, he did not reveal himself, instead, he occupied Tria's shadow as he told her about what he found.

'Glad to have you back,' said Tria to Chukah. She hasn't seen him for a while and was extremely grateful for his support.

'Thanks lil sis,' he playfully said before going silent. He understood her intentions and concerns, but soon enough he'll come out from the shadows.

When Tria heard what the Eye people planned, since she was completely in the dark about them, she did not want to take them on as she had wanted to.

"We will not go to the lake just yet, we shall go pay that Master guy a visit first," she said before speeding up towards Hoth.

"I know you are in extreme pain right now, I can feel it. However, you now have to tell me what you know because we are not going to the lake just yet," she said Hoth while keeping up with him.

"I can see an abandoned house ahead, we'll stop there, then we'll talk," he answered.

"Hm."

The protectors kept watch outside while Hoth along with Tria and Crei stayed inside.

Crei was talking to Chukah about what he had found, while Tria was focusing on what Hoth had to say.

"The Eye is nothing but the foot soldiers of a bigger organization. They have been around for over centuries and have changed names multiple times. When the ordinary world knows too much of them they regroup and come out with a new name. Even if you were to kill thousands of them, you would not gain the upper hand. I know because I have fought them before...that's what the incident was. The incident was my fight against him and his minions because I wanted to protect my beloved."

Tria was shocked to learn that the reason that multiple people had died and the Moon people's memories being erased was because of their God.

"You said him? Who is that?" asked Tria.

"That's at Ubdi Lake. I separated my memories into different portions, that way if I was to successfully access one of them, I could put the pieces back together. So from what I can deduce, I can tell you, your opponent is a God," he said as he took a look at Crei.

Crei furrowed his brows noticing his glare. 'Was he referring to me?' he wondered.
