"Understand? Why do you have to understand him?"
Ji Ziming's eyes darkened. This woman promised him yesterday that she would not see any other man in a different light, yet it had not even been twenty hours and her promise was already broken.
How could he possibly calmly let her talk about understanding Joe in front of him?
She could not and it must never happen!
"When did I say that? What I mean is that he made that promise yesterday, so if he's not in the hospital today, then he's breaking his words to me."
Her moist eyes were calm as she regarded him seriously.
"If he does, other than this hospital, even his family's company will become mine."
His eyes glinted with a dark light. Even though he was looking at her, it felt more like he was talking to the doctor.
"You are threatening him like that. If he feels threatened enough, he just may not help cure our son."
