"Mommy, what's wrong?"
The two children were awoken by her scream. Rubbing their eyes with their small hands, they looked at her.
Pei Ge emerged from the bone-deep fear gripping her heart when she heard her kids' voices.
"It's nothing! Mommy just had a nightmare."
Lowering her head, she pecked the top of their heads as she reassured them.
The two did not stop there, though. With wide eyes, they questioned her curiously and worriedly.
"What kind of nightmare did you have?"
"Yes. What did you dream about?"
The children's questions made her frown.
That's right. What kind of nightmare did I just…
Why can't I remember it?
Her brows drew together as her eyes became filled with confusion.
She seemed to have dreamed of being locked up inside a pitch-black room where she could not even see her hands.
Then…
'This d*mn girl, I think she's courting death!'
