"Xiaoyu, why were you crying earlier? Also, I seem to have heard you mention me…"
There were some minute changes in the couple's expression at her question.
The woman's smile faltered.
"What's wrong?" Pei Ge blinked in confusion at her stiff expression.
"Nothing." Half a beat later, Tang Xiaoyu returned to herself. Her smile also came back as she shook her head lightly at her. "I wasn't crying because of anything but you!"
"Huh? Me?"
She became more flabbergasted at this and eyed her best friend with bafflement. "You were crying because of me?"
"Of course! My boyfriend came so I couldn't control my emotions earlier and cried while telling him about your situation."
At this point, her best friend stuck out her tongue the way she used to do when they were young as she showed a seemingly embarrassed expression.
