"That's not right. Didn't you say that you're bringing me out for dinner? How are we gonna eat here? Am I supposed to cook it myself?"
Seeing the empty dining table, she realized that the man seemed to have brought her here for dinner, but there was no food here at all.
"I'll make it." Ji Ziming took off his coat, wearing only a white, striped shirt and light gray sweater.
Pei Ge was stunned at this.
"Wha-What did you just say?" She looked at him in disbelief. "Did you just say that you'll make it? Cook?"
"Mhm." He nodded calmly, his lips curling up her eyes wide in disbelief.
"Are you joking? You're cooking?" Her eyes were filled with doubt. It was not that she looked down on him; rather, he did not appear to be the type to cook no matter how much she stared at him!
Noting her frown, he raised his hand and gently patted it before he solemnly answered, "I never joke around."
This simple statement dispelled all her doubts.
