With his mind and heart on her and in his desperation to see her, he sped so fast without him noticing it.
Alas, just as he was about to reach his destination, his phone rang.
Of course, he was in no mood to pick it up, so he ignored its ringing.
The caller was persistent, though, as the phone rang incessantly. Finally, he was so annoyed by it he switched on his Bluetooth earphone and picked up the call.
"Hello." His voice was laced with coldness and anger, inciting fear in the listener.
"C-CEO Ji… th-that…"
The anger in his heart blazed further at the caller's hesitance.
"What's the matter? Speak clearly."
"CEO Ji… y-you don't need to come over anymore… The people be-below… made a mistake; the person they saw isn't Miss Pei…"
Upon hearing this, the anger and displeasure in his heart dissipated.
Screech!
The speeding car came to a screeching halt at once.
