Once she locked the door, she happily went back to her room.
However, although she was watching TV, her mind was not all attuned to the cliché drama playing.
Her attention was actually drawn downstairs. Turning the TV's volume very low, she perked her ears for any sound coming from downstairs.
She half-heartedly watched TV while actually looking out for any sound downstairs until it was 10 PM, yet she still heard nothing.
"Tsk!" At quarter to 10, and the man was still not back, she promptly sat up from her comfortable bed and threw the remote control on it.
"That annoying fellow doesn't even give me a call if he's not coming back!" she grumbled, frowning slightly.
"So much for waiting for him for so long. Seriously!"
As she nagged, she unexpectedly heard noise from downstairs, which had been silent all this while.
