Looking at the table full of food, Pei Ge, who was still sighing about her pay getting docked, decided to channel her anger into appetite.
She readied her bowl and chopsticks and then started attacking the nearest dish to her. Soon, however, she sensed the same intense gaze on her that she sensed yesterday.
She turned her head and, indeed, spotted the man staring at her with emotionless, dark eyes.
"Why are you staring at me again?" she asked, feeling exasperated.
"Nothing." He continued to peer at her, though.
Tsk! Weirdo.
She mumbled that inside her before she resumed taking some of the green pepper with potato in front of her.
The man was watching her do all that with pursed lips while he tried not to reveal any anticipation on his face
His effort was bound to fail, however, with the woman's next words.
"Hm? This green pepper with potato isn't as nice as yesterday's," she muttered as she chewed her food.
