"Of course, it is as such."
Liu Yue was elated when Pei Ge finally showed a reaction.
The latter had not revealed any sort of emotion since she walked into the coffee shop.
No matter what spiteful words she said, Pei Ge remained calm, and it made her feel as if she were a jumping clown.
"Why would I lie to you? Your cousin wanted to deal with you, and I was merely convinced by her into lending a helping hand." Liu Yue excitedly stretched out her neck to look at Pei Ge in hopes of seeing the hurt that was surely on the latter's face by now.
After a while, Pei Ge finally lifted her head.
Her face was unexpectedly devoid of hurt or anger. Instead, it held indifference.
"Don't tell me you don't believe my words?" she asked. She firmly bit her lower lip as her eyes flashed with disappointment at Pei Ge's lackadaisical expression.
"Of course," her lips curled, and, amid Liu Yue's anticipation, she coldly said, "I don't believe you."
