Knock, knock, knock!
A series of knocks came from this brightly lit and spacious office's door.
"Come in," Pei Ge, who was buried in all sorts of documents, said.
She had been occupied with work lately. In fact, everyone in the company was similarly busy after the holiday because of Jiaheng's ongoing projects.
As the highest executive officer in the company, she was naturally the busiest of them all. If she wanted to leave the office on time every day, she must work nonstop during the working hours.
She did not even have time to look at her assistant who was bringing her more documents.
"Boss, these are the charts for the company's recent performance."
The assistant carrying the documents offered them to her over the table.
"Okay. You can just put them down."
She took a few seconds to glance at her assistant and the documents the latter had placed on the table before going back to the file that she was reading.
