In the forest of a planet somewhere in the universe,a spiral hole suddenly appeared tossing out a screaming black haired young man. He hit the ground with force which stopped his screams.
"Ouch"
Brendan patted his back while feeling the pain. He took some time to realize the situation he was in.
"Where the hell i am..." he stood up examining his surroundings in confusion.
His vision was filled with trees slightly bigger than normal and green. He simply can't understand what happened, all that he saw was a brilliant flash which blinded him for some time followed by a strange noise and his body being sucked by something.
"That bastard..." Brendan clenched his fists trembling with rage while imagining his hateful brother smiling face.
"ALFRED RANFORD YOU....." He started cursing out loud his brother of every bad name he knew while staring at the sky.
"IF EVER GET OUT OF HERE, I'M GOING TO PUNCH YOU OUT OF EARTH ORBIT!!" screamed him while punching a tree in rage like he was punching his brother face.
Too bad for him, he forgot that his fist was not made of iron.
"OUCH" Feeling like he punched a iron wall he grabbed his fist in pain.
"Is this tree made of iron? why it's so tough?..." said him while caressing his fist. He happened to find out that the blue tattoo is still in the back of his hand.
"Don't i deactivated this thing? why is still here...." Brendan stared at the back of his hand with curiosity and wariness. Then, Brendan realized, his brother would never do something like putting a deactivate function on the chip, and no one besides him would actually use it.
"This is all his trap!" He was going punch the tree again but stopped his fist remembering the pain.
'Forget about all this, now i need to know where the hell i am. stuff like natural forests don't exist anymore nowadays so i am in either a artificial forest in one the planets of solar system or a completely strange place.' He stopped his rage and started thinking about his situation.
He gazed at the sky and the trees around him. He never saw this type of tree and nothing about this place seemed artificial.
'Humans can't artificially make this type of tree, much less a forest. And there's nothing at sky to control sunlight or devices to control temperature.' Trees in the current era are are rare as pandas. Seeing so much of then and even bigger than normal is strange.
With humans indiscriminately gathering resources, a lot of them became extinct and the remaining ones became very scarce. The reason that they are able to still exist is because they found substitutes to the resources.
A good example of it are the trees. Humans developed machines that transformed carbon dioxide in oxygen like trees in large scale making big cities have their air fresh as forests. Trees then lost their function of oxygen maker and people started to care less and less about them,making them nearly extinct, with wood becoming valuable as diamonds. Well, diamonds can be artificially made so they not that valuable anymore.
Brendan then started wandering around the forest with his pistol in hand, trying to found some clues of where he is. He found a strange scene while hiding in a bush.
Four youths using white clothes are surrounding a green wolf using basically extinct weapons. Two with swords, one with a spear, and the last one with a bow. Medieval weapons like that were rare as dinosaur bones.
"In the end,where the hell i am..." He lamented while staring at start of the battle between then. The two with the swords advanced first with the spear youth running behind then. They much more faster than normal humans.
The wolf howled and advanced towards them at a unnatural speed. He clawed one of the swordsman first while the youth used his sword to defend. The other taking advantage of that slashed his abdomen with the sword.
The wolf enraged turned his head about to attack him but a spear penetrated his head with a tremendous force while he was distracted killing him.
The wolf was killed really fast and the youth bow don't even need to use the arrow he was aiming at entire battle. One of them grabbed the wolf and they started to ran towards some direction. The bow youth glared at the bush Brendan was hiding before following then.
"What the hell..." Brendan lost the count of the times he said these words today.
