The elves were stunned by his reply. A human, siding with a dark elf, a Necromancer and a monster is unheard of! At least among these elves. "STOP WITH THE BULLSHIT! YOU CAN ACT ALL YOU WANT BUT WE WON'T BELIEVE A HUMAN LIKE YOU! YOU ALL LIE! ALL OF YOU! AND YOU ARE NO EXCEPTI-" the female elf who exploded received a jaw-breaking punch up her face.
"Don't talk about my buddy like he's some stupid like you wood elves or I'll have you head next time" Herjar said in a cold tone. They successfully managed piss him off. "Why you...." the elf got up from the floor with the help of a male elf. Suddenly, six magic circles formed on the floor and started glowing. Six skeletons with their leather armor and Iron shields and swords. Their eyes had a red dot like glow to them. All six of them pointed their swords at the two elves all of a sudden.
"Exactly as Herjar said, speak badly about him once more and I "will" have your head" Minos spoke in a cold af tone. Even his friends were surprised by this turn of events. He never really let something like this get into him and yet he's acting up, he was weird.
"That's enough! Stop brewing fight among ourselves!" Saito said loudly so everyone could hear. He looked at the elves and said, "And you, I believe I already told you that you are the "guest" here and if it weren't for us, you would have ended in a slave market as sex slaves, so be greatful that we saved you" his tone was that of an annoyed person.
The elves didn't refute at all. After all, they were saved by Saito and the Goblins. Moreover, their weapons have been confiscated by the Iron Guard soldiers. They are practically useless now.
"I though we could let you stay for a bit longer, but it seems your time is up" Saito said. The elves looked down, disgraced. "But you will answer my questions before you leave since that was the original deal and if you don't, you can forget about those two elf girls and leave on your own" he said in a threatening tone.
"What....do you want to know?" the leader elf asked. "First, what is the relation between you and Hydral?" Saito asked. The elf's eyes went wide in surprise. "Why....do you want to know that?" the elf asked confusedly. "You just need to answer the question" Saito maintained his tone.
The elf bit his lips and said, "We have a bitter relation with them right now". "Second, why did this happen?" Saito asked. "It's because.....that bastard prince of Hydral tried to abduct our princess just because she was beautiful" the elf said with a disgusted tone while talking about it.
"Third, who rules your territory?" Saito asked. "Don't you already know? It's Queen Nefteria who rules us elves" the elf asked confusedly.
"Fourth, what was the reaction from the Queen about this prince's action?" Saito didn't answer the elf but asked a question instead. "Of course she would want to educate that bastard! She sent an envoy to Hydral's capital and explained the situation to the King, but the King killed our envoy and sent his head back to us with a letter" the elf said with anger hiding in his voice. Saito noticed that hidden anger and understood that this dispute was caused by the Hydral's royalty.
"Fifth, what did the letter say?" he asked. The elf gritted his teeth. He didn't want to say that but if he didn't, two of his members would die. He got no choice. "It said..."Don't worry, my son will have your daughter as one of his concubine as I will have you" is what said in the letter" the elf said. The two other elves also gritted their teeth. This was humiliating for them. The King of Hydral humiliated both their Queen and princess. Herjar was sort of enjoying himself.
"Alright, you can leave" he said as he turned around. "Wait! That's it? That's all you wanted to know?" the elf asked him, completely baffled. "A deal is a deal, I won't go back on my word and neither did you, now beat it" Saito said as he walked towards the succubus.
The elf was about to say something but Rou blocked his way, "He said "leave" or do you not understand him?" he said. The elf nodded his head and turned to leave.
"CAPTAIN! CAPTAIN! WE HAVE AN EMERGENCY!"
Two goblins in full armor came running. "Catch your breath, what happened?" Rou said. "We don't have time to catch our breath captain! We are under attack!" one of the Goblins said hurriedly.
"Rou, what's going on?" Vik asked him. Rou looked at the two Goblins, "The demons are attacking us!" the second Goblin said. The elves stopped on their tracks and turned around with a shocked look. "Demons? How? Didn't she say that they are going to launch their attack tomorrow!?" Minos said with the same shocked expression.
"They don't necessarily need to attack tomorrow when they can get a fort with natural advantages more quickly" Herjar said in a cold tone. Minos face became dark, "How many are there?" he asked. "Their force is above 1000....at the least" the Goblin answered.
The darkened face of Minos became pale af. His legs gave up and he slumped on the floor, "We are done for.....we can't fight a force that big with only 500....". Saito sighed and turned around and walked towards Minos with heavy steps.
He grabbed his collar, lift him up.*SMACK*. He punched Minos right in his face. Minos regained his senses after that punch. "Get hold of yourself you idiot! We already fought demons once and it was on a plain field! Do you think we will die this time when we have a fort and 500 heavy trained soldiers? What happened to you?" Saito shouted at him.
"Sorry....I lost myself for a moment" Minos said in a sad tone. Saito let out a sigh and let go of him. He fixed his eyes on Rou and asked, "How much Goblin hunters do we have?". "We have 100 master Saito!" Rou replied. He looked at the two goblins that cane running earlier and asked, "Which side are they attacking from?". The Goblins don't know why, they felt like they are standing in front of their garrison commander. "They are coming from both North and West, sir!" they said.
'Which means they have Ariel force and ground force huh?' Saito thought to himself. He looked at Rou and said, "Rou, place 70 hunters on the Western wall and 30 above the gate, have 30 shields, 30 spears and 30 swords to guard the western wall with the hunters and I want rest of the force on the gate! Prepare the men, if they want a fight, we will be damn sure to give them one!" Saito said.
Rou and the two Goblins along with the rest of the Goblins that were already in the room all saluted and said, "YES SIR!". Saito felt like a commander after seeing them act like this. Rou didn't slack and so did the Iron Guards. The hooded hunter scrambled to the walls while the infantry mobilized near the gate and on the wall.
Saito had told Herjar to cut off the demon's head right after Rou left. There is a saying "Show no mercy to your enemies on the battlefield because your enemy won't show you any mercy". The four of them exited the inner hall and reach the courtyard with the elves behind them. The remaining elves came towards them. "Hey, what is going on? Why are they mobilizing?" one of the elves asked.
"Herjar, you take command of the western wall and defend it along with Rou!" Saito said while ignoring the elves as he walked past them. Herjar nodded his head and disappeared while Rou ran towards the wall. "Minos and Vik! You guys take care of Lily and stay on the wall above the gate with the hunters and support" he said as he head towards the gate.
"Saito! I want to fight! Let me join you!" Vik said. Saito stopped on his tracks and turned around, "Vik, I'm not telling you not to fight! You are in the rearguard and your job is to finish of anything that crosses me, got it?". Vik now understood as he nod his head with seriousness, "You can count on me!" he said as he hit his chest. Saito looked at Minos and he nodded his head with serious eyes.
"Hey, don't ignore us! Tell us what's going on?" the elf asked. "We got no time to spare with you! There is an army of demons coming to attack us right now! Get to some corner or something and hide, don't get in our way" Saito said with cold eyes.
The elves face became pale after hearing him. "De- De- demons!? How could this be!? What are they doing here? We need to inform the Elven guards! We need to get the Alliance mobilized fast! We need t-" the elf was cut of by the sound of their leader. "WILL YOU ALL STOP IT!? The demons are on us and you are panicking while the Goblins are courageously facing them? You are a shame to the Elven guard!" he shouted.
The elves quit their babbling. They lost their composure only because of the mere mention of demons. They all know how fearsome the demons can be. Even if it's the low ranked ones, they are still dangerous. Facing them off with a force small as this would only mean death to them.
Saito ignored the elves and walked to the gate with Minos and Vik. Lily joined them on the way and Saito told her to stay beside Minos. Saito looked at the mobilize Goblin army. Not even a single thing was out of place, everything was in very order. This is something that medieval armies couldn't do which shows that the Goblin Iron Guards are heavily trained.
"Men! Today, right now! We are about to face an army of demons and they outnumber us by two to one maybe even more but we don't care! Let them send however much they want! We will send them back in bodies! Now, WHO'S GONNA DIE!" Saito shouted. "THEM!" the Goblins shouted back. "WHO'S GONNA LIVE!" Saito shouted again. "US!"
"WHO'S GONNA WIN AND RETURN TO OUR HOME WITH VICTORY!"
"THE IRON GUARD!!!!!!!!" the Goblins raised their weapons in the air while shouting. They are ready for war.
