Chapter 160 - Septra 6th - Fox

Gale yawned as he made his way down the stairs to hear Mopsa chatting with someone. He could tell that she wanted to go out to see them, but form the sound of it, Mopsa had refused as she hung up.

"What was that about?" Gale raised his brow as he walked into the kitchen.

Mopsa sighed as she laid on the island. "My friend in Summerwind wanted me to come and visit for a girls day out but with you, Zephyr and the autumn snowstorm. I can't even enjoy myself as I used to." Mopsa cried as she stood up.

Gale smiled as he looked at her. "Why don't you and Zephyr have the day to yourselves. I can stay here and watch over the pup."

Mopsa turned to Gale as she narrowed her eyes, "What is your angle?"

Gale leaned back, "No angle, I just thought a girls day out would be nice, just for you two, that's all."

Mopsa glared at him as Zephyr made her way into the kitchen. "What is going on here? Mopsa, why are you glaring at Gale?"

Gale sighed as he turned to her, "I suggested that you two have a girls day out, and she is wondering my angle."

Zephyr looked at Mopsa, "I think it's a great idea, especially since Gale can get away from us for the day and relax. It wouldn't hurt?"

Mopsa turned to Zephyr as she continued to glare. "Fine," Mopsa grumbled as she got up to get ready.

Zephyr smiled as she went with Mopsa leaving Gale alone as he looked over at the egg. He felt a strange connection as he got up to touch it. Zephyrs dire wolf pup run-up to him and tackled him down.

"Get off me, you!" the pup wagged his tail as it panted above him. "By the heavens, what is Zephyr feeding you? Your heavy, you know?"

The wolf sat on him until Zephyr walked back down. Mopsa could not help but laugh as she saw him on the floor being pinned to the ground.

"Artic, come." The wolf turned to Zephyr as it ran over to her. "You okay, Gale?"

Gale winced as he sat up, "Yes, and what do you feed him? He weighs a ton?"

Zephyr chuckled at him as he got onto the couch. "It is just how fast he grows. By next week he will be fully grown in size, then I can train him for riding with Mopsa's help."

Mopsa composed herself as she looked at Gale, "And once that egg hatched, the dragon inside will be fully grown as well since so much time has passed. But be warned if it hatches it will distrust people as it was held captive for some time. Who knows what that fiend did to it?"

Gale turned to the egg as his eyes widened. "Okay, then shouldn't it be outside at the first sign of it hatching?"

Mopsa grabbed her coat. "No, it will be the size of hatchling for about eight weeks, then start rapidly growing in one."

Gale sighed as he watched them leave as he sat, staring at the egg. Worrying as he began to think it was not a great idea. Artic laid at his feet, waiting for Zephyr.

Zephyr followed Mopsa to the market as she started humming to herself. Zephyr raised her brow as she tried to pin where she heard the hum. "Hey, Mopsa, what song are you humming?"

Mopsa stopped and turned to Zephyr, "It is an old tune, I don't remember the words, but it was a nursery rime that is not heard much anymore. I think the song was Little Fox Run Wild?" Mopsa places a finger on her chin. "But I haven't heard the song for years after lift the capital. It was common to hear in the fall district."

Zephyr turned away, "o, I see. I was just wondering since it sounded familiar to me. I think our mother sang it to my brother and me when we were younger. It just has that sense of nostalgia."

Mopsa smiled as she touched Zephyr's shoulder, "Well, I think we should head back to the hot springs?! I haven't been there in ages; it feels like!"

Zephyr chuckled as Mopsa childish nature, as they walked to the hot springs. Mopsa took in a deep breath as she entered the waters. Zephyr felt her worries melt away as she followed Mopsa's lead.

"Mopsa, this was a great idea." Zephyr insinuated as Mopsa hummed in agreement. Zephyr turned to Mopsa as she began to think about the summer festival. "Mopsa? What was that stone you made me and Gale get you for?"

Mopsa stretched before turning to Zephyr, "It was to help me find love, as I never did have luck in either sex. Why do you ask?"

Zephyr turned red as she looked at Mopsa, "Because I remember the stone glowed the day Gale and I got our hands on it. I was wounding; with an item like that, it has to mean something, right?"

Mopsa glared at her before sighing heavily. "It means you and Gale were meant to be. The Coran only glows two destined lovers; it can transcend time and break thru destiny—or a set future—to sho tow people that they were meant to be as they complement one another." Mopsa explained as she sunk deeper into the water.

Zephyr blink, thinking about Mopsa's answer as the sound of screams uproared from outside the spa. Mopsa stood up as she rushed out to see the commotion. Zephyr followed suit as Nevada ran into the bath. Zephyr turned to see him happily sitting in the water as Zephyr felt uneasy as the manager walked in.

"He yours?" The manager asked as she stared at Zephyr. Zephyr nodded as she felt guilty. "Well, make sure to dry him well, Mopsa is dealing with a thief outside. A young man came running up as j=he was looking for her, to begin with."

Zephyr felt a wave of relief as Mopsa walked back in, "Sorry about that, I hope the Winter Dire was not much trouble?"

The manager smiled, "Not at all, pets are allowed anyway, I just opened the doors as he was racing to her. I figure it was the best solution since he was wining to no end even before that thief came by."

Zephyr went pale as she realized Gale was the one the manager was talking about. "Umm, Mopsa? Why did Gale come and find you?"

Mopsa turned to Zephyr, seeing the concern on her face. "Well, I don't know I returned as fast as I left. We better go see what he wants then." Mopsa points out the door. "I will help you dry off…Umm, what did you name him again?"

"Nevada, as he was pure white like the snowy beast fount in the north." Zephyr exited the bath as Nevada followed her.

Gale sat out in the waiting room as his face was pale as he waited for them. Mopsa raised her brow at him as she got closer. "Gale, what is going that has you terrified?"

Gale turned to them as a dragon's head pulled out from his jacket. Mopsa went pale as to see it staring back at her. "He is why. The dragon hatched about an hour ago. Once he hatched, he just jumped on me and has not gotten off since."

Mopsa stood stunned as she walked closer, "He never attack?" She asked slowly. Gale nodded as the dragon yawned. "I think I am in more shock on the fact he is so calm, over the fact that it's attached to you?"

Zephyr stared at the dragon as it headbutts Gale's face, "I think you should name it Thunderhead? As it is a thunder element dragon, and it like headbutting Gale. I think it suits?"

Gale narrowed his eyes at her as the dragon made a purring noise to the name, "You got to be kidding me?"

Mopsa could not help but laugh as the dragon accepted the name, "No way, Zephyr suggested one name, and that's that. Dragons only purr like that when they like the name given to them."

Gale turned red as e stood up to protest, but stopped as he realized there was nothing he could do about the name. As Thunderhead roared in delight.
