Vivian watched as Fang laughed at Zero as he fell to the ground as he tried defending against Kratos's advances. Lora sat staring at them with a smile as she looked at her grandmother. Vivian patted her head, then took a swig of elven vodka. Fang looked over to see Vivian sitting the porch as she drank the day away. Fang sighed as he walked over to join her. Lora looked up at her grandmother as she nodded. Sending Lora off to gather food from the forest.
"Mind if I join you?" Fang asked as Vivian handed him the bottle.
"Please."
Fang took a sip before handing it back to Vivian. "It is so strange to think that you of all people worked with my grandmother. Yet how is it you are so young? You have to be over a thousand years old to have been in the clan. Heck, I never knew my family was a clan."
Vivian went to take a sip but stopped and passe the bottle back to Fang, "Here, take this I am going to need it after I tell you about the Krisnik clan and its fall." Fang took the bottle and stared at Vivian as she took a deep breath. "It was about two thousand years ago, back when I was still in my youth. I was Kora's right-hand warrior as she was searching for Demora's new form. As he took a different shape and name every time, he killed Lunatica's reincarnation. We came across him as he had not transformed yet, and I laid down the final blow. Yet, Demora was able to transform and then hit his head. Kora ran over to see him as he was an injured man. When he awoke, we found that Demora lost his memories and thought his name was Terrance, a simple farmer."
Fang stared at her as he listened, "Wait, you are over two thousand years old? How?"
Vivian smiled as she leaned back, "Kora used a theyan ability to extend one's life to that of the theyans, so once she dies, I die. Anyway, where was i—Ah yes, Kora fell head over heels for the man as he continued the act. She even helped him build a new country that we all know and love." Fang could hear the sarcasm as she rolled her eyes. "About five years into their relationship Kro was pregnant whit their first son, Kayn. Spelt with a y, not an I mind you. But his life was short-lived as he died due to complications on Kora's end." Vivian looked at the bottle as tears welled up in her eyes.
"So, I had an uncle, I wonder why no one wanted to talk about him?" Fang questioned.
Vivian wiped the tears away, "Because he died after three months of life. She had just found out that she was pregnant once more, and Demora—compared to Kayn—touched her belly. This time it was Terrance. Yet, something went wrong as well—but to Kora, as she lost the ability to have more children. Demora becak protective of Terrance as he grew up. By the time he was ten, the Faremin Kingdom was starting to flourish. And during this time, the Krisnik clan was the royal guards. But one Lunaitca's next reincarnation was born in front of him by a maid he lost it. His memories returned and attacked. Kora tried to reason with him but failed as blinded by love. Her judgement was off, and she felt a gaping wound. Demora killed off all the older Krisnik clan members and told the rest that it was Kora. Kora had to flee the nation, but her son—your father — stopped her. He convinced her to him within the country as she was the queen. Kora told him what was going on, and he agreed to help her. Once she told him her mistake, Terrance took up her family name and started to gather men from within the country. And the rest you already know."
Fang turned away as he knew what she meant, "Yeah, my father worked within Demora's new court and then met my mother as time went on, establishing the Goanna Force, now known as the Goanna Mercenaries. Before trying to stop him once he got hold of the Ren-Ky jewels and gather the Ren-Ky warriors. My father lost two-man I thought, and were replaced over time. But ultimately, he failed as he is now Azoth. He had his former Ren-Ky warriors hunter down except for Allie. She was the only loyalist until about three years after he became Azoth."
Vivian nodded at him as she reached for the bottled, "Yes, Allie was also a Krisnik clan member but used a forbidden time spell and was cursed by the time gods until she gave up something worth the world. And that was the Ren-Ky Jewel of Wind. She valued that above all else after acquiring it. Now she has passed away. She lived a long life, over six thousand years or more. I never paid much attention."
Vivian took a drink as she passed it back to Fang, "I see, she help us out when Gale became a demon." Fang noted as he took a drink himself.
Vivian smiled as she waited for the bottle, "To be honest, Gale's mother had ancient demon blood. About two hundred generations or so back. I am guessing he came into contact with some demon, and it woke up. Allie being Allie, probably thought he was turned when in fact, he just activated the genetic trait." Fang passed the bottle to her. "It was a well-kept secret of the Grand Dale Royal family, and if I am right, he is half Vail Wolf and half-human now?"
Fand noded as she took another drink. "Yes, it was a surprise for all of us when it happened. Lance was completely distraught by the whole ordeal. But When Lovell found out—"
Vivian spat out her drink as she choked. "Wait, did you say Lovell!" Vivian asked as she wiped her head to Fang.
Fang raised his brow at her, "Yes, that is my late brother's name? Why?"
Vivian bit her lip as she turned away, "I am not allowed to say this but Wolf, know how to bring Lovell back. I don't know the details, but from what I know, Wolf is under orders of Uriel Krisnik, the world spirits to help you and the other Ren-Ky warriors. I asked him about —since Kora mentioned him—and he said that Lovell will return. Mark my word." Fang's eye grew wider as he stared at Vivian. "I thought nothing about it until you said his name. As well as the part of him being your brother. I think Wolf has Lovell hiding somewhere, but who knows where? I have a feeling that he will call for the others all to the same place."
Fang felt a lump in his throat as he listened to Vivian. 'Wait, are you saying the reason Wolf knows us is because of Lovell!?"
Vivian nodded, "And I bet he will send a letter with the names of one of the others on it. That's what I would do if I wanted to not draw suspicion to the fact he is pulling strings." Vivians words rang true as he wondered about their last encounter, back at Fe Mor Castle.
"Vivian, if what you say is true, I need to get stronger, but I first need to awaken my Ren-Ky weapon. First and foremost. Then seek out someone to help me use a scythe as that is what my weapon is." Fang confided.
Vivian nodded as she stood up. "Well, then I better keep training as you are going to need to activate your full potential." Fang nodded as Vivian walked to the yard, while Fang followed close behind.
