Zero screamed as Kratos sat in the cage next to him, waiting for the end as his father walked back to see them his face grave as he looked over his desk.
"Sir, what are we going to do? If Fang's execution is not today, then your plans are out of place?" Tusa asked as he became increasingly worried.
Curtis slowly turned to Tusa as he growled in displeasure. "Shut your mouth Tusa, or else you'll be next! Now, if I want things to go ahead with Fang's execution, I need you to change your hair and head to the surface. I need your ears to find out what the hell is going on!" Curtis roared as Tusa scurried off before turning to Zero.
Zero shut his mouth as Curtis walked over to the two of them. He glanced over the two of them as he cast a spell to electrify the bars. "Now, shut your mouth, boy or else you will end up dead."
Zero growled as he moved away from the bars. Kratos stared at his father, "Tell me why? Why do all of this? Why destroy your own kingdom!?" Kratos pleased.
Curtis smiled as he walked to Kratos, "My dear son. I will gladly tell, but first, I need your help with a little project." Curtis started to cast a spell to try and take over Kratos's mind.
Kratos screamed in agony as Zero stood up. "Stop this! You cannot do this!" Zero snarled at Curtis, trying to distract him.
Curtis whipped around to Zero and grabbed him by the neck. "I said shut it, boy! Now either you shut it or I will. Forever!" Curtis bellowed as he squeezed Zero's throat.
"Stop it! Please, I will do whatever you ask of me." Kratos pleaded as he watched his father. Curtis stopped and turned to Kratos. "Just please answer my question before you tell me what to do?"
Curtis smirked as he let Zero go. Zero gasped and coughed as he glanced up a Curtis. "Very well, I will tell you then, since time seems to be on my side." Curtis sneered as Tusa walked out into the tunnels. "Since the time I was in the guards, I wanted power. Power to destroy my enemies, but the one I needed to kill was the king and his lineage. He is my enemy as he sits on his throne, unaware of the killings his precious guards had done to my family and others! When I met Azoth for the first time, I was in awe of his raw power, and I wanted for myself! He granted me that opportunity long before I met your mother. This was back when Azoth was Terrance!"
Kratos could feel the rage building in the air as he listened to his father. "How did Terrance influence you? He was fighting his own father at the time?" Kratos questioned his father's sanity.
Curtis grinned turned into pleasure as he walked towards a chair. "That my boy is quite the question. You see, Terrance wasn't the only one that influenced me at the time but a man that work under him, Lau. He wanted to return to his home as a hero but need help doing so. He told me about the power of wolf beast folk, and so I captured your mother. Thanks to Lau, I now had a woman that gives me a child of power. Despite she was being guarded by Terrance at the time. I stole her from him, and you were born. I made sure that they could never take you as I told a lie, saying that she was a gift form a good friend. Since she never knew who kidnapped her. Using the Evermore law against Terrance."
Kratos turned white as he listened to his father rant on. Zero could only growl behind his prison box. "You sick bastard." Zero commented.
Curtis turned to Zero and smiled. "Yet, look at where we are now? You met Lau and never knew that he was behind Ark's death. He did as I asked of him. Knowing that the seven crowns would interest you. As he was the distraction for Azoths attack." Curtis mocked at Zero. Zero stared at him as Curis started to laugh. "Yes, that is right, it was all of Lau's doing! He even had Morris killed off! He was the mastermind behind all of little Lovell's woes."
Kratos felt as if he was going to puke as he stumbled back against the bars. "No, this cannot be true?" Kratos muttered as he covered his mouth.
Curtis grinned at Kratos's reaction, "Every word I said is correct, and you never knew as you were to busy with other things allowing me to set my next plan into action. Mind you having Lovell, and the rest here did push my plans back. Alas, I was able to change them slightly once Lovell was killed as he was on the target list." Curtis leaned back in his seat before glancing down at Kratos. "That attack that transpired was supposed to go in my favour, but Lovell put a stop to that."
Kratos snapped back as he gland at his father. "Wait, the attack on the eastside, was you? You used gate magic to open a door for them to bypassing our defences?!"
Curtis grinned, "Yes, I did. As my plan now was do to the fact I knew Fang was injured, so I took advantage of that fact. BY taking one of my men from the faremin kingdom—that looked like Fang—and used him to fool you into imprisoning Fang, causing Mama K to watch as she attacks and ultimately killing the king."
Kratos felt the blood rush out of his body once more, "No, that can't be true? If You Kill Fang thru the execution, then the death sent will be on the king. Causing Mam K to attack out of theyan pride and the fact theyans kill those who killed an innocent theyan?"
"That is correct. Theyans are so pride-filled fools that I can take advantage of this fact?" Curtis stood up and walked to Kratos once more. "Now, the part you will play is to make sure Mama K is nowhere around the execution site as she will be returning tomorrow morning. Where you will be her distraction as you will chat with her about nothing important. I will use you as my tool as you have always been since you were conceived."
Curtis began laughing as he readied Kratos for the morning. While Zero turned away, knowing that he could not escape to even stop Curtis's plans.
