Chapter 148 - Junra 21st - Shadow

Wolf screamed out of frustration as Shadow sat, staring at him. "Wolf, you need to relax if you are going to succeed in being able to turn me into a weapon and then armour–I can not believe I just said that." Shadow mortified by the notion.

Wolf sat down, defeated as Yuki summoned herself. "Troubles with the whole turning your friend into a weapon of death and decay?" She placed her hands on her hips.

Wolf glanced up at her. "Yes, I understand the concept, but yet—I cannot do the actions? Well, with Shadow, that is?"

Shadow raised his brow before sighing as Yuki smiled at him. "Yeah, it's hard when you knew the summon beforehand. Trust me, when I was made a sacred, my master at the time was very hesitant in turning me into a weapon. While Scarlets was easy as she was a part of a mages experiment to create a weapon that obeys your every command. Hence how she is more lenient than us. She sees herself as a tool despite her demeanour."

Wolf looked at Shadow as he looked away. "Yeah, I could see that. Yet what is holding us back? What will I take to allow me to have Shadow fight by my side and help protect this world as a sacred?"

Yuki closed her eyes as her face stiffened. "Well, if I were to guess, it is the fact that he was betrayed and doesn't see himself as a protector but as a spy?"

Shadow's eye grew dark as he glanced from the corner of his eyes. "Yeah, that is part of it. The other is that I hate being a tool for some other person in the future. If I learn to turn into a weapon. I feel as if I'm sending myself to death—mind you the other death where my soul disperses, and I no longer EXIST!"

Wolf clenched his fist as he looked at Shadow. "I know that, and you can choose to do that on your own with my descendants or whomever. I know I need you to be my blade—or whatever weapon you become. Plus, I need you to shield my body when need be. If we learn to do both of those, you will be able to help the next person who can summon you and see if they are worthy of your full power. Kyle, please, I need you to understand that you are a piece of a bigger picture." Wolf pleaded as he could feel the frustration building once more.

Shadow sighed as he thought over what Wolf said. "Fine, but remember, do not call me out in those lines. They are cheesy and will take to long to cast."

Yuki smiled at him, "aww, too bad as when Lovell introduces you to his more powerful enemies or a group of enemies, they won't cower in fear of you." She taunted as she leaned closer to him.

Shadow turned red as he looked away from her. "Fine, have it your way, but don't think I will like it."

Yuki grinned as Wolf stood up and nodded at Shadow. He nodded back as he extended his hand. They closed their eyes and focused. Shadow began to feel strange as his body began to glow and shift. Wolf could feel Shadows hand change as he gripped Shadow's weapon form. Wolf opened his eyes to see Shadow's new form was a halberd.

Wolf examined Shadow as he could feel Shadow's power coursing through him as he moved to gain a feeling of his friend's form. Shadow could feel Wolf swinging him as he felt a sense of pride course through him.

'Yuki, is this what you feel every time you turn into a weapon?' Shadow asked.

Yuki nodded at him, 'Yes, at first, it is like a drug, but you learn quickly that you drain thirty present more mana than just being in your beast or human forms combined."

Shadow felt sick as he lost control of the transformation landing ontop of Wolf in the process. Yuki winced as she watched them. "Oomph, that has got to hurt?"

Wolf pushed Shadow off him as he reached to fix his mask. "Yes, it did, but we now know that Shadow is a halbert. Now we need to know what armour he is and how he will fit in with the full equipt. To where I can switch between each of you for optimum performance. Since my magic is not a problem?"

Shadow went pale as he looked at Wolf. "Really, that is your plan?"

Yuki smiled as she squatted to their level. "Well, if you feel the flow of magic, you can efficiently switch without Wolf calling you out? He was able to do it with us, after a day or two since we have had practice. Besides, you will feel different when you turn into armour."

Shadow raised his brow as his colour returned. What do you mean—you know. I think you are going to say something like—find out for yourself? Or something like that." He interpreted.

Tuki ginned as she disappeared, leaving Shadow and Wolf to complete their training. Shadow sighed as he and Wolf stood up. Beginning again as he focused on beginning armour. The same unusual feeling washed over him as Shadow turned into armour. Wolf opened his eyes to see he become a right shoulder guard and a left hip guard.

Wolf smiled as he looked to the horizon. "Well, you did it. Now the fun part in switching between weapon and armour forms a hundred times. But we can do that in the morning as the sun is setting." Shadow did not respond. "Huh? Shadow you their?"

Wolf became increasingly worried as Shadow did not answer but was caught off guard when the sound of a faint snore caught his attention. Wolf smiled as he knew Shadow passed out from exerting himself with every time they practiced. Wolf walked over to his sleeping back and readied for the night as Wolf allowed Shadow to rest. While he tucked in for the night as they had another long day ahead of them.

Wolf began to think about getting a horse or some other steed as he felt walking and shadow jumping or vail crossing was a lot of expended energy.
