Fang walked the streets as he and Zero covered their heads. While Faremin soldiers walk passed them. Zero looked at Fang.
"Fang, where exactly are we going?" Zero asked as he turned away from the soldiers.
Fan g glanced at the men as they paid no heed to them. "We are going to see Fenya, my mother."
Zero grabbed his arm, "Wait you mother is still alive? And she lives—" Zero gestured to the people around him. "Here in the Faremin Kingdom?"
Fang turned to Zero. His eyes seemed soft but weer stern as he glared at Zero. "Yes, as she is still loyal to Demora and could train us in how to fight."
Zero blankly stared at him, "Wait, she is a trainer?"
Fang nodded as he kept walking. "Yes, and the best in the Faremin tactics. If I can learn what she has to offer, then I might stand a chance in killing Demora."
Zero sighed as he followed Fang through the crowds. Fang talked to some locals, while Zero watch the Faremin ignore them.
"Didn't you here?" One of the soldiers asked.
"What?"
"A man wearing a mask is off killing parols that go looking for the Ren'Ky warriors? I hear that you never see him coming. It is like he is a ghost." The one soldier told the other soldier. Zero turned his head to hear more. "Furthermore, the council is doing nothing. I think he might be an enforcer?"
Zero turned away as he thought about who this masked man could be. Fang finished talking to the man as he walked over to Zero.
"What has got you all worked up?" Fang asked coldly.
Zero pointed at the soldiers with his head. "Them, they are talking about s a masked man doing some things that might be to shut men up to about us and the others where about. AN enforcer they believe."
Fang growled as he looked at the soldier. "Let us hope we never meet, come I know where my mother is. She is in town until tomorrow. If we hurry, we can catch her drinking at the Filthy Pig."
Zero nodded while he tucked his hood over his head more. Fang walked past drunk men and women as they laughed while they kept dinking themselves like fish. Fang stopped as a man flew out of the bar. And a large husky the size of a man walked out. Snarling at the man.
"Get out mortal, or I will kill you for fun as my new chew toy!" The husky spoke. The man pissed himself in front of it before scurrying away. "That is right, run pissy, man!"
Fang sighed as he looked at Zero, who was stunned by the beast. "Fenya!" Fang called out.
The husky turned its ear towards the name, "Who is calling me?!" The beast growled before turning to Fang and Zero. "Answer ME! HIC!"
Fang nicked his finger as Fenya sniffed the air. Her husky eye lite in rage as she snarled loudly. Everyone around heard her and scattered as they ran for their lives. Zero winced as Fang stood his ground before her.
"I have, mother." Fang finally answered.
Fenya stared at him before charging him, "FANG! MY LITTLE PUP!" She transformed into her pure form, her hair black like his as she hugged him. "Wait—why are you back?" Fenya asked as she pulled away from him.
Fang sighed as he pulled his mother off him, "I came to ask for you to train me."
Fenya looked behind him to see Zero, "And who is this?" She asked coldly.
Fang turned to Zero, "Baggage, mostly."
"Hey!" Zero protested.
Fenya leaned closer to Zero, "What is he? Elf or Animilian?" Fenya asked as she scanned over him. "By the way, I heard about Lovell, what was he like?"
Fang glared at his mother, "A lot like our father before that day, yet he was able to break the curse that now plagues the world. Plus, he split the Ren'Ky jewel just as father did. Creating two new Ren-Ky Jewels, one of which was given to me."
Fenya stared at him in disbelief. "You are joking, right?" Fang shook his head. "Great, what was the last split then?"
"Hope and Life, Light and Darkness," Fang answered.
Fenya rubbed her brows, "Okay, then which did you end up with?"
Fang pulled out the gem, "Darkness of Life. Yet I have no idea why Lovell ever thought that was the right choice for the stone."
Fenya stared as him then Zero, "What of him? Is he a Ren-Ky?"
Fang glanced at Zero, "Yes, believe it or not, the one Courage."
Fenya smiled at him, "Fine, then I will train the both of you, but knowing you, Fang, you will leave once you are finished. So stay awhile before heading off. Besides, I no longer work in the academy since the new one was built two-three years ago?"
Fang looked at his mother as she placed her hands on her side, "Oh, don't be to surprised. After all, you trained under your father over me, and I told his majesty that I would only teach in that place." Fang sighed as she wrapped her arms around them. "and now it is my new home. So, you two can train in peace. So cheer up, will you?"
Fang grew tired of his mother's cheery attitude, but kept his calm, "Very well then. We will meet you there—"
"No, you two will be caring home as my legs won't work anymore—ZZZ" Fenya passed out while she had her arms around them.
"BY the heavens, you krowl mother!" Fang growled as he grabbed her arm. "At least you weigh nothing."
Zero helped by holding Fang's mother's other arm over his shoulder, "Fang, what does krowl mean?"
Fang glanced at him, "Bitch, the word nynya means the same thing but with the added slut meaning to it as well." Zero went pale as he looked at Fenya, snoring away in their arms. "Besides, we don't have all night. Let's just get to her place and crash. I will give her a piece of my mind in the morning for pulling this stunt."
Zero went silent as they walked off to Fenya's place. Knowing if he spoke, he could get chewed out by Fang.
