Luna races Crescent, as she felt the wind flow through her hair. Luna smiled as she returned to Dino's camp. Dino watched as Hunter walked over. He stared at Luna as she felt free riding the Moon Snow leopard. Luna guided Crescent up to Hunter and Dino.
"Is everything okay?" She asked.
Dino smiled at her. "Yes, Everything is fine, just watching you enjoy yourself. By the way, how is Crescent doing?"
Luna smiled, "She and I are still bonding, but the ride was…smooth…" Luna answered.
Dino looked at Hunter. "Well, we have been modifying a saddle for you to use on Crescent. Why don't we try and use that?" Dino suggested.
Luna nodded at his idea, "Okay then. Is it ready?"
Hunter nodded at her question. "Yes, it is just behind us. I will grab it and set it on Crescent. Oh, I also modified a halter to help with guiding her. I will grab that as well."
Hunter ran off as Luna dismounted Crescent. The cat rubbed her face and purred. As Luna scratched under her chin. Dino walked over as he reached out his hand to Crescent. Stroking her soft fur. Crescent glanced over at him and meowed at him playfully. Dino smiled as he turned his attention to Luna. He could see her joy and concern run across her face as she waited for word form the others. Dino remembered the letter that Shadow had given him some time ago.
Luna turned to Dino, "What is on your mind, Dino?" she asked him
Dino looked at then turned away. "It's nothing, I am just thinking to myself about Everything that has happened. That is all."
Luna looked at Crescent before walking over to Dino. "Is it nothing? What is on your mind?"
Dino sighed as he glances at her from the corner of his eye, "I will tell you and Hunter later. Just come to my tent in the next three hours. I have something for you."
Dino left as Hunter returned. Hunter glanced at him before turning to Luna. Confusion ran across his face as he walked over with the saddle and halter.
"What was that about?" Hunter asked her.
Luna stared at Dino as he walked out of view. "I don't know, but he asked me to come and see him in three hours—sorry the both of us." She turned to Hunter. "Anyway, let us see if these fit. It will be a smoother ride, especially if we have to ride long distances."
Hunter agreed and set the saddle onto Crescents back. Luna fastened the straps while Hunter placed the halter over Crescent's head. Fastening it. Crescent shook herself as Luna stepped back. Hunter attached the reins before handing them to Luna. Luna took the reins and mounted Crescent. Hunter walked over and hopped on behind her.
Luna whipped the reins, and Crescent took off. Hunter was surprised by her speed as the cat raced threw the fields. Luna could only smile as Hunter glanced around to see a giant black wolf standing off in the distance. Hunter stared. Before they ran past a farmhouse. As Hunter watched, the beast disappeared as the other side came into view.
He turned to Luna and leaned in. "Luna, we should head back, I think we are being watched?"
Luna glanced back at him as nodded. She turned Crescent back to camp. Luna and Hunter got off Crescent as some of Dino's men came to get them.
"Lady Luna, Master Hunter, Dino wishes to speak with you as—" They began.
"I know, we are slightly late due to the fact we went out farther than anticipated." Hunter cut them off as Luna took off Crescent gear. "Tell Dino we will be there soon, we just need to take care of a few things before we head over."
The man nodded and rushed over to Dino. Luna fixed Crescent's fur before turning to Hunter. "What do you think Dino wants to talk about?"
Hunter shrugged as he shook his head at her. "I don't know, but we better head over before he gets mad." Luna nodded as she followed Hunter to Dino's tent.
Dino looked up at them as they entered, "Well, there are the two I need. I have something for you that came in."
Luna looked at Hunter as he stared at Dino. "Dino, are you okay, you seem off?"
Dino sighed as he pulled out the letter. "Look, this letter is for the two of you. I was told by the one who delivered it to give it to you two today. I do not know who it is from but by reading it. it might make sense." Dino exclaimed, as his voice cracked.
Hunter took the letter slowly, "Are you sure that is all?"
Dino nodded at Hunter, "Yes, now if you excuse me, I have things to do."
Dino rushed pasted them ass he left them with the letter. Hunter opened the letter and sat down. Luna sat across from him and waited to see what the message says. "What does it say?"
Hunter scanned the letter, "I will read it out for you here, it's from Lance and Scarlett."
Hunter cleared his throat and began to speak the letter contents.
/Dear Hunter and Luna, /
/Scarlett and I are heading to Indala, the capital of Isar. We will be there by the eighteenth of Junra. I have also sent out a letter to the others. SO, don't worry about if they are coming or not. I have planned that part out as of where we are to meet. It is the southern plaza, at the first noon. Try not to be late. /
/Signed, Lance and Scarlett. /
Hunter raised his brow at the letter as he finished. "Do we even know if Fang, Zero, Zephyr and Gale will be there? I feel as something is off with this letter?" Hunter expressed as he handed the letter to Luna.
Luna nodded as she grabbed the letter. "Yes, I agree. If this is a trap or not, the only way is to go to the location and find out. If it isn't, then it means that things are looking up for us as all the Ren-Ky's will have reunited."
Hunter nodded, "Yes, that is true, but we only have—what thirteen days to get there? And it takes about twenty on foot?"
Luna smiled, "But who said we were going on foot? We can ride Crescent to the border and then send her to your grandfather until we need her again. I think that will cut our time by nine or eight days?"
Hunter sighed as he looked at her, "You are right, but I would rather we didn't have to use her like this. But yet, you make a point. It will give us nine days to get there with extra time if we have to wait for a sand storm or two."
Luna smiled at him, "Everything will turn out alright. Besides, if anything happens, you will have my back."
Hunter smiled, "And I will as well!" Levi interjected.
Hunter jumped as he looked up at him, "By the heavens! Levi! Do not do that!"
Levi smiled as he looked at the letter. "So, I am guessing that is from one of the others?"
Luna nodded, "Yes, and we are leaving in the next four hours. If you could help either Hunter pack or me, that would be great."
Levi grabbed Hunter's shoulders, "Well, I am going to help Luna with the packing, it might be best you go find Dino and tell him whats going on."
Hunter sighed as he got up. "Very well, I will hunt Dino and let him know. Then I will saddle Crescent up. After that, we are heading off."
Luna nodded as she went off with Levi, and Hunter went to find Dino. Their journey grows with the unknown growing around them.
