Chapter 122 - Lark 18th - Rose

Luna walked over to Hunter as he and Dino waited for Digon to return.

"Have you heard from Digon yet?" Luna asked them.

Hunter shook his head before turning to Dino, "No, not yet, but we received word that he should be here soon?" Hunter answered.

Dino placed his hand on her shoulder, "Do fret, we will wait until he gets here. I am more curious about what reason the Wolf character what for us talking to Digon?" Dino explained as Digon walked over.

"Wolf wishes for me to assess you and your men as well as make sure Lady Luna is okay?" Digon explained his reasoning.

Dino turned to him and sighed, "Makes sense when you think that my man and I were Faremin soldiers not too long ago. Besides, we would never have survived if we never met thanks to Hunter and Luna here."

Luna smiled at them, "Thank the theyans that told us about you. If we never had talked to them, this would have never happened."

Hunter narrowed his eyes, "Yes, that is true, but at the same time, we got that information from King Alaric, aka my grandfather. Where now we are full circle. As we returned back to Inroar with literally an army!"

Digon nodded as he looked around. "Yes, that is true, but remember how I had to go back after Luan was—Well, you know?"

"Yes?" Dino raised his brow in question.

Digon nodded as he turned to them, "Well, I had to tell my grandfather about you since Wolf told me Luna was coming back with some people. And when I saw how many men you had. I needed to tell him right away. AS to not cause blood to shed for the wrong reasons. I had some of my men keep others out of the area until I had spoken with him."

Luna nodded in agreement, "That would have been bad, especially if I did not recover. The thing would have turned out horribly for everyone."

Hunter shudders at the thought, "Yes, that would have ended badly since grandfather is—well…"

Digon nodded at Hunter's comment, "True, being that Luna is Lunatica, he would have seen it as an attack from the Faremin and strike you and you men down in a heartbeat."

Dino turned red as he turned away, "I did not think she was that frail until she broke down from my actions. Besides, things are looking up, and we can now focus on getting ready for the major battle that is over the horizon."

Digon nodded as he and Dino walked away to check his men. Luna turned to Hunter and smiled at him. Hunter did the same as he walked over to sit down.

"It is hard to believe in just over a year and some we manager to acquire the Inroar Dynasty, a group of theyan's from another land, a group of men and women that wish to help and Dino and his men in such a short time?"

Luna sat across from him, "Yes, it is like watching a beautiful rose bloom with its thorns sharper than ever."

Hunter snickered at her, "Only you could see our journey as a rose blossoming."

Luna gingerly smiled at him before watching Dino's men and women chatting in the distance. Laughing and enjoying themselves. "You know, whoever this Black Wolf guy is, I think he has had his hand in every step we have taken."

Hunter stared at her, raising his brow at the idea. "Oh, what makes you say that?"

She closed her eyes, "It is more like a feeling, ever since we met with Leo, the Black Wolf fella has been on the back of my mind? It was one of his men who informed us afterwards about Azoth and the other councillors of the Faremin forces. and who id to say he was the one keeping them off us the whole time either?"

Hunter pondered on her ideas, "You might be right,? Yet, even if he is, why would he help us? What reasons does he have to help us, and where did he come from? Even I would have known about him if he was a threat beforehand?"

Luna nodded, "Yes, that's right. He never appeared until sometime after Lovell's death—Sorry Uriel's death?"

Hunter grew frustrated, "I mean this guy conveniently shows up when we all separate and then—what helps us and the other, I presume here. For what? What is his angle?"

Luna sighed as she shuffled over to him, "Yes, I agree with you on that, but it might be more? What if Lovell met him before and asked him to help if something ever happened to him? Just like Silver? You never told Kyle that you knew about their little transaction."

Hunter shifted back, looking at the sky, "Yes, that is true? I wish Silver came with us right there and then. Now that I think about it. Maybe if things go alright, we could go see her and ask for her help?"

Luna smiled at the idea, "Yes, that would be nice. Yet, I have an excellent feeling that Wolf has contacted her and asked her to help us in some way."

Hunter nodded before standing up, "Well, shall we go see how they are doing?"

Luna stood up and walked in front of him, "Yes, I would like to here what Digon has to say about Dino's forces?"

They walked around, searching for Dino and Digon. Thye found them talking by the horses, as they approach.

"Dino! How are things going between you and Digon here?" Hunter asked.

Dino turned to Hunter. "Hunter perfect timing, Digon and I were just talking about your next actions?"

Hunter stopped and stared at them, "What do you mean? That is Luan's decision, not my or anyone else's for that matter?"

Digon glanced at Dino, "Well, we were talking, and we both came to the conclusion of you two staying here until you hear anything about the other Ren-Ky's. As to allow you two to relax a bit more before heading off."

Luna smiled at their offer, "I think that would be a great idea. Besides, if we need to, we can borrow a horse or two before leaving. If we need to rush to a location?"

Hunter sighed as he looked at them, "You heard the Luna, now what prompted this? The only kingdom left to join would have to be the Spade Dominion?"

Digon nodded as he explained. "The Spade Dominion is going to a lot harder if you don't plan ahead. That where we came up with the idea of waiting for the other Ren-Ky's to join you? You see, just meeting the queen herself is almost next to impossible without the right people or know-how?"

"On top of all of this? Digon had gotten word that Azoth was attempting to gain an audience by force. Yet as we stand here explaining this, he failed."

Hunter started to chuckle, "Wait, you mean he did his I demand this act, and it backfired in his face?" Digon nodded, "I would have paid to see his face. I bet he walked away infuriated to no end."

Digon smiled at Hunter's reaction, "Yes, to where I am betting someone explained what he did wrong?"

Dino sighed as he turned away, rubbing his neck. "I am betting that person was either Kito or Lily?"

Hunter tried to compose himself as he asked Dino."Wait, you knew Vail was Kito?"

Dino nodded at Hunter's question, "Yes, and I knew he was a spy, yet now I think he has completely converted over. Even without the curse."

Hunter felt uneasy as he remembers Kyle's death and his involvement. "Oh, I see. So he changed since I last saw him."

Dino touched Hunter's shoulder, "Did you meet him recently?"

Hunter shook his head, "No, not too recently. Around early Lark last year. He and Crow had gotten married, and Crow was pregnant the last we saw them."

Dino stared at Hunter, "Wait, they actually—No!? Really!?"

Hunter nodded slowly as Dino. "Yes, why did you know something that I do not?"

"Yeah, I knew they love each other but were too afraid to reveal it? But now—now, I do not know what happened? It is just surreal."

Luna smiled as she changed the subject. "By the way, what is the date today?"

Digon turned to her, "Lark eighteenth, why?"

Luna turned away, "Oh, I see, it just—you know, never mind."

Hunter touched Luna's forearm, "You were wondering if we could celebrate your birthday? On the twentieth?" Luna nodded. "well, we have time, so I don't see why not? I think having it here would not be a bad idea. Besides, it would be the first one where we can all celebrate our achievements within a short amount of time."

"And were you, Lunatica, have survived to finally able to stop Demora, so long as no other hiccups happen along the way?" Dino added.

Luna laughed gingerly as she smiled at them, "Thank you. Truly, I appreciate this."
