Chapter 106 - Marin 17th - Shadow

Shadow walked over to Wolf, "Wolf, do you have a minute?"

Wolf nodded as he placed his mask beside him, "What is on your mind?"

Shadow sat beside him, "I just want to go over everything we have done so far."

Wolf looked up and smiled, "We have done a lot over the past year and so. Shadow, do you remember when we stopped those Faremin attacking that village?"

Shadow nodded, "Yes, they posed as bandits. That's where you—well, you know?"

Wolf laughed, "Yes, the look on his face when he was defeated was priceless. Especially since he charged me. Thinking I was part of the Faremin. Boy, and then—" Wolf could help but laugh. "Sorry, they were too funny, the both of them. What was the next major thing we did?"

Shadow sighed, "We went and saw my mother and Orville, where we found out that my mother had died of natural causes."

Wolf nodded, "Yes, but we were also able to convince him to send Maria to Lance. So, she could train him how to utilize his Dracoman wings and ride Whirlwind into battle."

Shadow nodded, "True after that, we headed Evermore, to a remote village—what was it called?" Waving his hand in the air. Thinking of what the place was.

Wolf chuckled, "Fevermore, Elves and their naming of villages. But yes, we then asked that woman to help us get ready for—"

Shadow stood up, "I know, but right after that, we had to rush and save Eledon." He glared at Wolf.

Wolf sighed, "Yes, that was a pain. Hans was able to sneak in through the escape route for the royal family, I had to act quickly to save him and get that message for Lance and Scarlett so that they could understand more about what a Ren-Ky is, and what they are a symbol of. The Ren-Ky's are not just warriors to protect the people from Demora, they are to bring back what was lost because of him."

Shadow walked over to a horse, "Yes, each Ren-Ky represents the attributes that help fight off the evil that lurks in every person's heart. The kindness to combat hatred, the freedom to chose our own path, the strength to help, the courage to do the right thing, the knowledge to fight, the hope that we all have, and the experience of what we lived through. That we can teach future generations about as to stop this from ever happening again." Shadow unbuckled the saddle.

Wolf sighed heavily, "Yes, yet we knew this, long before. Remembering now how we dealt with getting Demora's attention onto us by attacking Azoth directly might have been the most stupid thing we have done."

Shadow smiled, "Yes, but we also helped Luna and Hunter find Leo, and they gained even more allies." He put the saddle off to the side, then stoked the horse.

Wolf smiled at the thought, "Yes, Luna and Hunter have done wonders in gaining allies within the beastman kingdom and finding those Theyans was a bonus. I never knew they were there. We both know that I have been sending many of the others across the continent of Serl. Searching for leads on what the Faremin are up to."

Shadow walked back to Wolf, "True, but we are also using these connections to help guide the others in the right direction. Even if you have to curse them to not say who you really are."

Wolf laughed loudly before turning to Shadow, "Yes, I know. You hate the idea, but if they found out too early, things would not turn out like they have. Besides, I was more worried about Leo spilling the beans to Luna. If she found out who I am, she would beat me to a pulp." Wolf shivered at the thought.

Shadow sighed, "Not my problem, But yes, things would have become more complicated if that got out. Do you think Dymo is doing a good job on his training of—"

Wolf cut him off, "Yes, he is. You worry too much, relax. Tomorrow we are going to have a chat with the Inroar king himself. We have an audience with him, after all." Wolf said, nonchalantly.

Shadow glared at Wolf, "I know that, and you should get some sleep. It's getting late as it is." His expression stiff as he stared at Wolf.

Wolf waved at Shadow, "Yeah, yeah. Sheesh, you would think you were my mother the way you act."

Shadow punched Wolf across the head, "I am more like your caretaker. Plus, if you never made that contract, you would have never been able to do some of the shit you have been able to do!"

Wolf rubbed his head, "True, and I am grateful for everything you have done for me. Let's just call it a truce for tonight."

Shadow growled as Wolf tucked himself into his sleeping bag. Shadow then turned his attention to the walls of the Inroar capital. "I hope we can do this without him finding out who you are. Having Eledon finding out was bad enough."
