Chapter 86 - Frin 5th, Year 3 Era 410

Weeks pasted after Lovell's passing. His friends and family grieved as they felt lost through troubling times. Luna grew distant as Hunter tried to fill his new role, but all did not fit as tension built amongst everyone.

"Tell me why I should listen to you, Hunter?"

Hunter closed his eyes as Fang yelled at him. "Fang, please don't make this harder than it has to be?"

Fang growled before storming off. "Fang, wait for me! Sorry Hunter, but you are not Lovell." Zero barked at Hunter

Hunter sighed as they left. he looked towards Lance and Scarlett. "are you two leaving as well?"

Scarlett nodded as she walked up to him. "I am sorry, but we just don't see how we can win if we don't have the true light guiding us. I know Lovell left a huge burden, but with the Faremin dealing this huge blow, it might be best we separate until we all can come to an agreement about what we should do. Lovell just had this charm about him—that you do not."

Hunter nodded in agreement as Lance packed their thing on Whirlwind. Hunter grabbed the reins as they got on. "Be safe on your journey. I hope we can see each other sooner than we expect?" Lance nodded before taking off.

Zephyr looked over to Gale, seeing his distrust in Hunter as he watched Lance leave.

"Gale, tell me why you hate Hunter? He seems to be a nice person even if he had a rough start to life?"

Gale sighed as he turned to her. "Zephyr, the reason I don't trust him is how easy he was to manipulate when we first met him before Lovell's passing. I know Lovell saw something in him, and so did Lance but…"

Zephyr grabbed his shoulder. "I know, but I think the reason everyone is leaving is because of how much Hunter looks like Lovell and doesn't want to compare him to his brother?"

Gale nodded, "Yeah, your right, it might be best if we go our separate ways for a time. Who knows? We might be drawn back together someday soon."

Zephyr smiled as she lifted her things over her back. "We should say goodbye to Hunter and Luna before we leave. At least that way they know that we are leaving?"

Gale nodded as they headed over to Luna and Hunter.

Hunter sighed as he sat by the window, watching Fang and Zero heading off. Luna walked up to him, clasping her hand close to her chest.

"I wish things didn't play out as they did. If only I was stronger, Lovell and Kyle would have both lived, and I would never have been used by Vann."

Luna sat beside him. "Hunter fate plays a cruel part in all our lives, but you are still finding your way. Maybe we could travel together and find allies for fighting alongside us? If we can do that before we all rejoin together, we might stand a better chance of winning?"

Hunter turned to her, "But without Lovell, we can't get some of the more powerful allies like Inroar, to fight beside our cause?"

Luna turned away; her eyes darkened at the thought. "I know, but there might be other groups like the resistance within the Faremin out there. I want to search for them before giving up. Who knows we might be able to get the other major kingdoms to fight along if we make allies with the smaller groups?"

Gale and Zephyr walked up to them. "Hunter, Luna? Can we talk for a moment?"

Hunter looked up to them. "Sure, what's up, Gale?"

Gale looked over to Luna before turning his attention. "Zephyr and I are going to be leaving soon and just wanted to say goodbye before we left."

"This is not goodbye forever, just that we need to find ourselves after that all has happened. We believe that it is true for everyone, so until we meet again, this is our farewell."

Hunter smiled as he got up. "Thank you, Luna, and I are going to see what allies we can gather before we regroup. So, until then, take care of yourselves."

Gale and Zephyr bowed before taking their leave. Luna and Hunter looked at each other before heading off themselves.

Mama K. watched as they left in groups of two. Kratos watching Hunter as he noticed something off about him but could not place his finger on what it was. Mama K. touched his shoulder, insuring him that all was alright.
