"There, how does that feel?" Silvia fixed Hunter's clothes.
Hunter twisted and stretched, as to feel how his new clothes felt. "They feel great, thanks, Silvia." She smiled at him as he left to meet up with Kyle. He walked the streets, Hunter noticed that everyone was staring at him. "Did they not figure out that I am not part of the Faremin forces anymore?" Hunter sighed as he noticed Kyle waiting for him at the edge of town. "Kyle!"
Hunter waved at Kyle, Kyle turned to Hunter. "Your late." His expression cold as Hunter ran up.
Hunter smiled at him, sheepishly. "Well, would you rather have them done proper or me naked?"
Kyle sighed as he walked away, "You have a point, let just go get the horses, we are taking them for a day to give ourselves a head start."
Hunter walked beside Kyle, "You know, things are either going to very good or very bad. So, let's make the best of our journey as free men."
Kyle smiled, "Yeah, let's. We do have ten weeks to get there, and we are heading back to Stonebeak. This time though, we are going to restock, who knows how that old miner's town is doing?"
They reached the local stables and found the owner was not there, Kyle looked around to see where they were. Hunter stayed put as he waited for Kyle. He noticed a man sleeping on a pile of hay. Hunter walked up the man, stepping lightly.
"Um, excuse me? Are you the owner here?"
The man snorted and lift himself up. He stretched and yawned before looking at Hunter. "Yes, I am, are you, Kyle?"
Hunter stared at the man, "No, but I am with him. He went to find you since he didn't see you here."
The man scratched his beard. "Well, you found me, so it seems he never looks up to find someone?"
Kyle walked back, he was frustrated as he walked up to Hunter, "I can't find Gordon anywhere, did he—" Hunter pointed up to Gordon sitting on the hay pile. Kyle turned around to see him. "Oh."
"Well, then." Gordon jumped off the pile, landing next to Hunter. Hunter noticed that he was short. Gordon looked at Hunter, "Have you ever seen a dwarf boy?" Hunter shook his head; Gordon laughed, "Well we dwarves are only a subspecies of the human race. We just don't grow tall and are hardier than the average folk." Gordon walked up to two stalls, "These two will take you where you need to go. Just let them go once you're done with them, and they will return here."
Kyle pulled out one of the horses and handed the reins to Hunter, "Here," He turned to Gordon. "Thanks, Gordon. I hope we met again in good health."
Gordon waved at him, "Just get going, you two have a long journey ahead. Oh, if you are heading to Stonebeak, hit up the bar, the owner is an old friend. He might be able to help you avoid patrols since his ears are everywhere there." Kyle nodded as he mounted his horse. Hunter rode up beside him as they took off. Gordon stared at them as he waved at them. "Lork, you think that things are going to work out?"
Lork appeared beside him, "Yes and no, Kyle will die, and there is nothing we can do. Hunter must join the Ren-Ky's and stop Owen Lupin, or whatever he is called. Hunter is more than a clone but was the first one made of Lovells DNA, and it took sixteen years for him to be born is one thing, yet he was made differently, too."
Gordon glanced at Lork, "Oh, and how is that?"
Lork smiled. "He was Lovell's actual twin brother, Ulva placed him in the facility before Lovell was born. Besides, Lovell should not even be alive right now, since his very birth."
Gordon turned away, "Oh, and why and how did he survive then."
Lork's face stiffened. "That I do not know, the only thing I know is that Lovell's spirit was too weak to have survived no more than one breath, then die. So, who or whoever saved Lovell's life is someone out of the God's reach and knowledge? They seem to have power but are unwilling to use it for the world."
Kyle and Hunter rode hard for the whole day, as they reached the edge of the forest, Kyle pulled the reins stopping. Hunter followed suit and got off his horse. Kyle began to unpack his things, as Hunter walked up to him.
"Hey, Kyle."
Kyle looked at Hunter. "What's up?"
Hunter looked around, "It's just that I recognize this please as to where I Killed Morris, and I was thinking that we should ride a little longer."
Kyle sighed as he looked at Hunter. "Hunter, we have no other choice, this is the safest place before the next location. If we were to keep riding, we would be found by a patrol on the main road." Hunter rubbed his arm. "I know it still bothers you about what you did in the past, but remember, you told me that Morris sacrificed himself for you to be free."
Hunter began to hold himself as Kyle pulled the last of his supplies off. "I know it's just—I don't know if I should be staying here? That's all."
Kyle touched his shoulder. "You're still learning, and besides, I think Morris's spirit would be happy that all worked out for you in the end?" Kyle smiled as he walked away. "Anyway, get your things and release your horse. We are going foot after tonight, remember?"
Hunter nodded and did as Kyle asked him. Kyle began to set up a fire, as Hunter finished. Hunter brought his things over; he felt a chill as he walked over. Though the chill did not feel cold, it felt more like it was a warm breeze than anything else. Hunter turned around and saw no one. He shook his head, and a smile drew across his face.
