Greg finally managed to get home. The mood was irrevocably spoiled. Everyone around infuriated him. Why everyone can't just leave him and Lana alone? He reached such heights not to report to everyone with whom he slept and what he ate for breakfast.
Leaving him aside, what about Lana? He wasn't able to talk to her for a whole day. He had to see her urgently!
At first, He thought that he was helping. Being all cool, drove up on the Mercedes to the slums and whisked her away to his castle. And in the end, it turned out that from one evil place, he brought her to another. Maybe just buy a house somewhere on the outskirts and live peacefully together. But she won't agree to it so readily! He needs to form a solid plan!
Caught in his thoughts, Greg did not notice how he climbed to his own floor. As soon as he got out of the elevator, the next door opened and a smiling Tony appeared in front of him. Greg suspected that his friend laid in wait for him. But it didn't matter now since Tony was precisely the person Greg needed.
Anthony didn't have time to open his mouth for greeting, as Greg grabbed him by the arm and pushed him back into the apartment, following closely behind.
" Tony! You have to help me!" - he said, marching a man in the direction of the kitchen.
"Sure, maybe you'll first let me go and explain everything," - Tony asked worriedly. But Greg had already shoved him in the direction of the chair and settled himself across the table.
"In short, you are always boasting that you know how to treat women. Rejoice! I'm ready to listen to your advice."
Tony seemed speechless, opening and immediately shutting his mouth again.
At last, he recovered a little, got up and went to the cupboard.
"Give me a second, I need a drink." - he muttered, uncorking a bottle of wine and pouring a generous portion of dark cherry liquid into the glass.
" So, now tell me everything slowly and in order." - he asked, returning to his place after a good sip.
"It's an easy problem," - Greg began in an obvious tone, - "You have to tell me how to get a woman to agree to marry me as soon as possible. Preferably by Saturday."
Tony silently finished the glass and stood for the refill.
"How did it happen that as soon as I leave, you and Frank, starting to act as if you've been possessed? I also want to participate in some fun. You couldn't wait for me?" - he muttered under his breath. - "I won't say anything until you tell me everything." - he declared, making a stubborn pose.
Greg sighed and began to tell him everything. Greg trusted Tony completely, like all his other friends so he didn't need to choose words. By the end of the story, Anthony had already emptied the whole bottle of wine and reached for the next one.
"I have so many questions that I don't even know where to start ..." - he sighed, struggling with the cork.
"Let's leave questions for later. I'm waiting for your advice, Oh Wise One!'
"Greg, talking about getting married. I don't understand, why do you need it in a first place? I believe that you are in love now up to your ears. But why hurry so? What if it's just your wounded ego? The only woman who dared to abandon you. But as soon as you catch her, the hunting excitement will fade away. You've only met her a couple of times lately, and every time you either argued or ... well, you know! It seems to you now that you are in love when sparks fly between you each time. But it will not last so long. And marriage is unlikely to save you from other's condemnation."
Tony's mature attitude was annoying. Among Greg's friends, he was the last, from whom so many serious words were expected. Greg looked at his friend thoughtfully, trying to digest everything.
"Then, what should I do?"
"Well, first of all, you must introduce her to me." - began Tony returning on his face a familiar mischievous smile. - "It's so unfair that Frank knows her, and I still don't. And secondly, …"
But his next words were interrupted by the sound of Greg's cell phone. He would have ignored the call, but Martin's name was clearly visible on display.
"Something happened?" - Greg answered immediately.
" Greg, Hey! I'm sorry that I'm distracting, this thing is really bizarre." - Greg heard Martin's worried voice from the receiver.
"What's going on?" - Greg began to worry, too.
"Your girl and the children took off somewhere for the night. I thought maybe to a store or a movie so didn't pay much attention at first. But it was an hour since they entered the territory of City's National Park on the outskirts. I tried to follow them, but guards didn't let me in. They said that the Park is closed and refuse to hear anything. I went around the whole territory. Here, the security is tighter than at the military base. Motion sensors, electric fence, cameras. It is madness. It's just a regular Park, should be... I was there with my family more than once. What should I do? Wait for them or try to get in?"
With every word, Greg grew increasingly gloomy.
"Wait, I'll be there soon," - he answered, and hung up
"I like your girl more and more," - Tony sang over his ear. Of course, he overheard everything, - "Well, what are we waiting for?! Let's go and see what else she will surprise us with?"
