Veronica called after Lana just emerged from a shower, and was drying her hair. She only briefly stated that everything was fine and they got back safely. But it seems that there were some problems in the company and Brian with Risa hurried there. She also warned that it would be better not to contact them for some time, as not to arise anymore suspicious in Ian.
Lana hung up feeling somewhat unsettled. Her mother's voice was firm and cold as if Lana was talking to the woman from back then and the last night never happened. Was that just her imagination?
Her worries flew out of her head as soon as Greg came into a room, shining like a new coin.
" Why are you smiling like this?" - asked Lana suspiciously. - " Did you make someone cry?"
" Ouch! Do you really see me as such a mean person?" - muttered Greg all offended, puffing his cheeks.
"No. But I know this high and mighty smirk, you always have it when you irritate the hell out of someone! Who was your poor victim this time?"
