Chapter 10 - 10 Sasori's Dream

Those words I won't stop you echoed in her head as she fell asleep. A beautiful foxkin refused to eat. Unable to kill herself she chose to starve to death. Every attempt to command her to eat she endured the pain of the curse till she passed out. If tied down and force fed she would choke on the food. Forced to drink soup she would puke or try to cough it out. Fed up with trying to keep her alive people sold her eventually no one wanted her. In the slave market thinking that the end was near, a youthful teen with a light blue eye stared at her. Tossing a few gold coins to the merchant who with a grin passed the chain over to the youth. Mindlessly she followed the youth to a tiny house in the middle of nowhere.

Upon entering the house the collar and chain was taken off. With dead eyes she stood motionless staring at nothing. Soon an aroma filled the small house causing her stomach to rumble from hunger. "I won't stop you."setting down the pot of soup onto the table"If you wish to die." Waking up from her stupor she looked at an unfamiliar youth. His mismatched pupil stared at her. If you do decide to die can you leave? Being around people who constantly lied to her she developed a six sense to lies unable to tell if he was being serious or not she stood there motionless. I also won't stop you if you want to join me for dinner. Unable to read his cold expression or his indifferent voice she was at a lost of what he was thinking. What if I run away? That's even better. Confused with his answer she stood there staring at the youth eating his soup. Thinking things through leaving was still a better choice so she slowly backed away. After finishing his soup he looked up at the foxkin startling her as she was staring at him the whole time saw an old scar on his neck.

Seeing that scar she knew immediately what kind of scar it was.Slave! Finally coming back to reality she noticed his ears. Halfling! With the realization she thought why a slave would have another slave? He's probably no different from any man. Just as she started to think things through again she fainted from the exhaustion from the trip. Feeling the comfort of a soft bed she slowly woke up. Waking up in an unfamiliar place was nothing new to her looking around she saw a youth sleeping in a corner curled into a ball. Watching as his hands tighten, his rapid breathing, his mumbling as he awoke from his nightmare slowly looking up with his sad mismatched eyes he stared at the foxkin staring at him a single tear escaped from his eyes a single teardrop fell like a raindrop trekking down his cheek.

His watery eyes the lightly scrunched up eyebrows the ray of light that shone through the window to his feet the darkness in the corner magnified the sorrowful eyes, the scene was so indescribable a sense of sadness swelled up in her. Sadness a feeling she long forgotten. The youth slowly getting up walked to the kitchen. Feeling a sense of freshness she looked at her arms finding them to be clean of dirt looking down at herself she found herself in a clean shirt that was to big for her.

You were dirty and smelled bad so I cleaned you in a water bubble. Taking a carrot he used his magic to create a bubble of water and tossing the carrot into the bubble using wind magic he spun the water to clean the carrot. I put the shirt over you first before I cut away the undershirt. My pants were to big for you. I didn't see anything as there wasn't much to see anyway. If your still gonna leave eat first before you leave.

The smell of soup quickly expanded inside the little house making her mouth water and stomach rumble. Setting the table for two with the pot of soup in the middle he gave her a ladle of steaming soup before serving himself. If I was gonna do something to you I would have done it already not to mention what can you do if I was to do something. Finding it reasonable she slowly got out of bed when she got to the chair she hesitated. You can sit, pulling out the seat she sat down nervously lifting the spoon to take a mouthful she took a sip. The flavor exploding in her mouth ignoring the heat she dropped the spoon and drank the soup.

Looking at the youth with life in her eyes wanting more. Your stomachs empty if you eat to much now its bad for your stomach. After the soup she sat there with her dead eyes motionless like a statue. Her first warm meal in ages she just sat there thinking again. Evening came and the sound of a bowl being set woke her from her thoughts another soup was served without waiting she drank the soup. Sitting motionless again she got lost in her thoughts. Again another bowl was set waking her up before drinking the soup, what do you want from me? Not to die in front of me. Is that all? It's all that's important. You won't stop me if I leave? Shall I kick you out?

After finishing the soup the youth walked over to the corner leaning his back against the wall as he slowly drifted to sleep. Are you not sleeping on the bed? Are you? No. Take the blanket. Frozen in place at his odd responses she stared at him. Getting up he walked towards her, like many times before she saw that same walk being pulled along towards the bed as he laid in bed pulling her beside her. Leaning over isn't this what your expecting. Slowly opening her eyes Sasori saw a mismatched pair of eyes looking at her.

Aego who was leaning over her leaned in to kiss her lips. Sasori with a sad voice I won't stop you. I''m sorry.
