It was then that something crossed her mind.
"Say, how much rice do you have in storage? she asked.
The farmer thought about the question before counting with his fingers.
"I've had pretty a pretty decent harvest this year. Adding onto what I have stored away, I could feed over a hundred people for the next ten years!" he answered.
His brows furrowed whilst looking a little concerned.
"Why do you ask?
Ming Yue gave him the honest truth.
"There's a village quite far from here made up of those trying to take refuge from the disasters. I came from there, killing all manner of beasts on the way and clearing a safe path. If possible, I'd like for you to allow me to transport some rice over for them."
The farmer was quiet when he heard her answer. He looked down at his empty bowl before looking back at her with a smile.
"You're a good person."
