"I will kill you!" The Light Prince hollered in rage. He had never felt so embarrassed in his life! A cultivator, at the first rank of the transcendence realm, had made him, the famous Light Prince Immortal, into such a sorry figure?! Unforgivable?! This was absolutely unforgivable?!
"Do you think you can kill him just because you want to?! You'll have to ask my permission first!" Green Sparrow got in front of Light Prince, preventing him from going after Nick.
"Green Sparrow!!! Don't you think you are pushing me too far?! Will you ruin our relationship just save a stupid little brat?!" The Light Prince Immortal couldn't believe it! He and Green Sparrow have been archenemies for so long! How could Green Sparrow ignore their long and healthy relationship just like that?!
"What relationship?!! Don't accuse me of anything?! I am a man that likes women!!! Whatever you are trying to say doesn't concern me!" Green Sparrow was getting scared. Did he poke the Light Prince Immortal in the butt too many times and gave him the wrong idea?
"Fine, then! It doesn't matter if you protect him or not anyway! You can't stop me from killing him! All I need to do is wait till he bleeds out to death and make sure you don't interfere and heal him! Maybe you haven't noticed, but his healing has slowed down once his eyes returned to their normal color! But it is fascinating, the boy learned that technique even though my master swore that it was impossible?!" Light Prince praised Nick at the end and looked behind Green Sparrow to look at him.
"Humph! An Old immortal bullying a transcendence realm brat?! Aren't you ashamed of yourself?! Little brat, don't let him scare you, just hold on long enough for me to finish him off, then I will try my best to heal you! So, try your best to stay alive until then!" Green Sparrow said heroically. But as he got into position to launch his attack, he noticed that Light Prince was looking behind him in shock!
Confused, Green Sparrow turned his head to look, but he didn't let his guard down since he didn't know if the Light Prince was just trying to make him turn around to launch a sneak attack. He had used this same trick on others before, to divert their attention, so he wouldn't fall for it that easily.
But when he looked behind him, Green Sparrow was shocked to find that Nick, who was the cause of their current arguments and beautiful speeches, was no longer there! The boy had vanished into thin air, the Immortals couldn't even sense his energy anymore, and the only thing that proved Nick had even existed at that spot in the first place were the various internal organs spilled on the ground.
Nick had already left the moment he realized how severe his injuries were, and he didn't get the chance to hear the scary threats of Light Prince, or the heroic and protective speech of Green Sparrow, no, he was too busy dragging himself to the Healing pool in his Palace! Thankfully the Light Prince immortal had flung him hundreds of meters away earlier, allowing him to enter the space successfully.
And Nick had hoped that either the Black Drake or Loyd would be around to help him to the pool, but weirdly, he couldn't see them around. Those two useless bastards were probably roaming around aimlessly in the large but empty palace!
Nick had crawled halfway but realized he couldn't move any further by himself, but he couldn't call for help because his throat was full of blood which was choking him to death. Nick then took a moment to think of what he should do until he remembered something he had neglected, Silver! And Nick didn't hesitate to summon him immediately.
"Master, did we get past those powerhouses…Master?!! What happened to you?!" Silver had come out of the Pet space in cheery steps, but as soon as he noticed Nick was all bloody and torn Silver nearly jumped out of his skin as he rushed over to Nick to see if he could do anything to help. He couldn't help it since the Pet contract he had with Nick was just too powerful and was capable of manipulating his emotions slightly.
"Quickly Silver, take me to the pool right there! That is the only way I can live through this!" Nick still couldn't speak, but he didn't need to when it came to Silver since they could communicate mentally.
Splash!
Silver didn't have a single caring bone in his body as he literally used his feet to shove Nick into the pool. But Nick wasn't in a position to complain since he was too busy drowning in the water at the moment.
"Ahhhhhhh! Pervert!" Suddenly, as Nick was busy drowning, a naked figure rushed out of the water and hid behind Silver shivering in fear. This person was Loyd, who had lost himself In the joy of bathing in the healing pool and was still inside when Nick was shoved into the pool.
"It's Master Nick who's inside, stupid human!" Silver couldn't understand why Loyd was shrieking like a little girl.
"What?! That pervert is Brother Nick?!" Loyd couldn't believe it.
"Master is not a pervert, stupid human! Someone has injured Master, and he needs the pool to heal him up." Silver couldn't let Loyd insult, Nick, any further, so he explained the situation to Loyd.
"What?! Who would dare attack a powerful Alchemist like brother Nick?!" Loyd was shocked. Nick's identity as an Alchemist should have been powerful enough to chase away most troubles, but somehow Nick had run into people that ignored his identity twice?! He could consider the couple by the real gate an exception, but now another wacko attacked Nick?!
While the two were having a nice chat, Nick, who had previously thought he was going to die from drowning, found himself suddenly able to breathe in the water. Apparently, the water not only carried a powerful healing property, but it also supplied oxygen to one's lungs directly. Pretty soon, Nick's condition had stabilized, his internal organs were either being repaired, put in place, or regenerated. And his frightening scars slowly closed up as his skin melded together.
But due to exhaustion, Nick had lost consciousness as soon as he was certain that his life wasn't at risk anymore. And after hours of being submerged in the pool, Nick finally woke up and realized that all his external injuries were mostly healed, now all that remained were the internal injuries that will probably linger for a while.
And although there was a long way to go before Nick reached his physical peak, he could now be considered to be fully out of woods. So, Nick used some force and a little water buoyance to help him out of the water, it wasn't that Nick didn't want to heal up quickly by staying in the pool, but his whole body just felt, unusually…wet? Nick wanted to change his torn cloth, and sleep a little before he returned fresh to the pool.
"Master! Let me help you out!" Silver saw Nick swimming to the top of the pool and trying to get out, so he offered to help his master like a good little pet.
But Silver's offer of 'help' reminded Nick of that shove he received earlier, unwilling to suffer from that again Nick refused by shaking his head like a bubblehead. Instead, Nick turned to Loyd and gestured for him to come over and give him a hand.
"Coming brother Nick!" Loyd was excited. Nick showed that he liked him more than his own Pet. What a nice feeling that was.
Drip, drip, drip.
Loyd placed Nick's hand over his own shoulders and began taking him into the Palace. And as Nick was moving a mixture of water and Blood slowly dripped from his wet cloth. It was weird how the blood hadn't dispersed into the water and instead stuck to Nick's body until he left the pool. It was like the pool refused to let Nick spill any of his blood in it.
"Master, what is this place?" Silver followed Loyd and Nick into the gigantic palace whose doors even allowed the enormous Silver to walk through with space to spare. And when Nick sat down to rest and dry of a little, Silver, asked the question which was in both his mind and Loyd's.
Ever since Loyd stepped into this weird space, he had come up with multiple theories in what this place could be, but in the end, none of them could explain this complex and vexing place.
And Silver, who had thought itself an expert in everything Nick related, was at a loss to find out that he didn't know his master as much as he had thought he did. Apparently, his master was more of a mystery to him than how to please women! The air here was lush and without any contaminants, the energy levels were incredible, although not to a terrifying degree, and the miraculous pool that could bring the half-dead Nick back to life.
It was all just too, magical!
Nick knew that lying to the two in front of him didn't matter since they were both unable to betray him anyway, but Nick wasn't one to tell someone what they want just because they asked nicely, no, he would rather you die from curiosity! "None of your goddamn business!!!" Nick snapped. And immediately he felt a lot better.
